  1. One possibility might be the trim on the top of the front fender of a 46-48 Mercury, with some damage to the leading edge.
  2. I always found these old coupe-pickups interesting. HowStuffWorks "1941 Chevrolet Coupe Pickup" I remember the Texas highway department used them at one time. You might even get lucky and find one to restore.
  3. I agree with Leif. 55 ford
  4. Does not seem to be the normal louver layout. Most I have seen have the hood louvers going all the way across the hood as Dale62 mentioned. Special design or aftermarket maybe? Not being a VW guy, I would not have noticed if it had not been posted here.
  5. I agree it looks European. First thought for me was Morris.
  6. I do not know either, but maybe the holes are for mounting a chrome trim strip or other decoration. If so, then it is likely for a more expensive car.
  7. Try this link for a lot of info on Diamond T trucks including a PDF operators manuel for the 201 Diamond T Classics :: The Cadillac of Trucks
  8. Love that ole Merc! Great find.
  9. Not a Seagrave, but you might be interested in this local story in my town, Ocala, Fl., in yesterdays newspaper. > Star-Banner > > Photo 0 of 0 Sorry, did not load correctly. Look for picture of smiling man on his red firetruck and click for gallery.
  10. It is amazing how many wonderful cars have been produced over the years. So much personality. Cars today seem to all blend together.
  11. I have one 1949 Delahaye 175 for the road please. Which one do you want? Unofficial AllExperts Expert Board: Cars you've probably never seen or heard of before - 52 pictures
  12. I have heard of a few who have dropped down to a 215 in place of the 225. Not sure if that is a good option or not.
  13. Pontiac has used the indian chief as their logo in many forms. I would guess your second item to be an aftermarket item designed around the chief.http://northstargallery.com/cars/car85web.jpg
  14. Yes the merc hubcap is real too. Google "1953 mercury hubcaps" to see an example
  15. Appears to be Mercury from the mid 60's
  16. Might try Grainger Supply Grainger Industrial Supply - MRO Supplies, MRO Equipment, Tools & Solutions If they do not have it, chances are they can get it if available anywhere. They do carry ss keystock. Good luck.
  17. From the style of the Indian, it appears to be from about 46-48. I can not find a picture of a dash without the clock, but I believe you may be correct about it being a delete plate.
  18. Perfectly natural to miss my post. Just proves the old saying "a picture is worth a thousand words". Gotta remember to write a 1001 word answer if I wanted to get noticed. Thanks Dave for giving me credit.
  19. Mid 30's Ford. Not sure, but the column looks heavy for a car. Might be for a truck? Could be just the angle of the picture.
  20. Sorry, but I have to disagree with 30dodge about GMC. The first grille appears to me to be from an early 40's Diamond T truck.
  21. I think Manuel is right, Studebaker from the 40's

  23. Rockettraider is correct about the olds cap. Here is a post about this style from a while ago. http://forums.aaca.org/f169/help-needed-50s-olds-wire-wheel-302850.html
  24. Makes you wonder how that one old Studebaker wagon came to live among all those Chevy trucks. Lots of good 40's and 50's bow tie iron there. Thanks for sharing.
