TerryB
A very kind person recently gave me this antique photo for the Klein Candy Company of Elizabethtown PA, the other candy maker near Hershey. The company was founded in 1914. The truck in the photos is about early 1920s I would guess. The daughter in law of the founder, Anne Klein, was the founder of Universal Tire Co that specializes in antique auto tires. This tire company was started in the late 1960s from what I have been told. Klein candies was later sold to M&M Mars Co. I'm not sure what type or Year the truck is, I'll let that up to Keiser to figure out!
keiser31
I was having dinner and just saw this. Looks like about a 1916 or so Packard to me. Edited March 6, 2018 by keiser31 (see edit history)

mercer09
Looks like Mars used some of the graphics and logos on later candy bars.....................
Restorer32
If the AACA or the antique car hobby had a Hall of Fame, Anne Klein would be a member. She was very active in the hobby.
Restorer32
Hershey used Packard trucks as well. Years ago at Hershey I saw a Packard data plate from one of the Hershey trucks. Don't know if any of Hershey's original trucks survive or not.
Steve Moskowitz
Jeff, Anne Klein certainly is in our hall of fame! She was a huge supporter of the hobby and what is now Universal Tire was a company they owned. We have part of the Anne Klein literature collection here (was 8o boxes) and recently received a $1,000,000 donation to the library endowment from her estate. Great lady.
1937hd45
Is there a list of the cars that were in the Anne Klein collection? The blue and silver Bentley that graced the cover of Antique Automobile is the only one I can clearly remember. Bob
