Layden B
Looks like the front spring goes forward from the axle, if so it curves around to the other end of the front axle. Supported in the middle by the frame which comes well forward of the radiator. An Overland feature!
nzcarnerd
I agree with Leyden's comments about the Overland springs. However the swaging on the sides of the body does not seem to match any Overland sedans I have found. The survival rate of early sedans is quite low. I am guessing that if it is an Overland it is pre 1924 maybe 1921-23? Willys Overland Knight Registry - Overland Photo Gallery

bsl59
Have seen pics of this car before. I believe it to be a 1923 to 1926 Overland. Pre-23 would have had a cowl mounted fuel tank.

Guest dodge coupe
The de luxe sedan is different then any others . I own this ad and it's way clearer in person.and the ad is in 1925 ,and most of these are 26's for sure . but rare no doubt.
Woodfiddler
Yes - I agree, an Overland. Although Studebaker, Jewett and Maxwell gave it a run. Dodge Coupe - the ad photo above is contrary to the radiator surround between the fenders of the original photo. It is very square in the inner corners, the ad shows rounded. That visor seems very distinctly shaped too. Thanks to:Vintage Ad Browser for this picture and lots of fun looking these 20's cars over.Chuck

Guest Evildave
1925 Overland.every picture I find has 3 hinges per door, mine has 2 per door.
keiser31
every picture I find has 3 hinges per door, mine has 2 per door.Yep...I see that. May be the same situation as my two 1931 Dodge Brothers DH6 business coupes....both are 1931 DHs. The early one has two hinges per door. The later one (by two weeks) has three hinges per door. Stude17
Evildave if you look at posts 1 and 12 of this thread you will see both images have 2 door hinges and they are Overlands ( model 91 or 92) with the triplex springs. If you go to the HAMB site you will find a thread by 27 Dodge who is rodding one of these bodies. As outlined the Overlands with the 2 door hinge were called the deluxe sedan and were only produced for a short time before the Overland Whippet model 96 superseded them so they are quite rare which accounts for the lack of pictures.
