  1. I used a silky oak timber for my running boards and screws from underneath to secure it has worked for over 20 years on my dodge . Also has not been damaged by water The rubber matting was not glued and occasionally distorts in the aussie sun however it returns to normal when it cools ,its not original but allows me to drive my car The next owner can fix it . PS silky oak was used on window and door frames for house construction because of it stability of not twisting or splitting.Oregon pine can also be used Hopes this helps 2251DB
  2. Looks great Ron keep up the good work ,looks like you are on the home straight
  3. my apology John , the gears were apparently turned around on the main shaft where they could be pressed off and turned around i was misleading about using the term reverse ,not meaning the reverse gear I withdraw my comments
  4. A friend of mine reversed the gears as you have suggested brilliant idea untii he pointed out that there is just as many down hills as there is uphills so the noise remained in reverse

  9. Hi your car looks great ,I also have a dodge sedan restored in 96 .One thing that may be of help to you at this stage of restoration is to install a drip tray/channel at the back rear windows .My car didnt have anything and the water ran down onto the inner guard and rusted the panel as the water was trapped between the upholstery and the body. The channel is sealed at both ends with a half inch copper pipe soldered to one end to drain the excess water.(73 holden torana bypass hose connected the pipe to the wheel well at the back of the rear wheel.) PS .My german shepard was also helpful , keep up the good work, off to colac Dodge rally friday We will be in a 28 blue senior sedan so I can catch up then Stuart

  11. Hi my senior fuel line also runs as per the other Senior sixes ,however i installed a rubber sleeve over the pipe where it runs behind the block.I have had no trouble with the fuel. ignition too far retarded can be a problem for erratic running and overheating, Hope you find a solution soon so you can once again enjoy your car
