Dyno Don

Wow, what sad news. Just last week I was going through some old slides taken at US131 dragway in Martin Michigan from the good old days - Dyno Don, Dick Landy, Arnie Beswick, etc. Legends! Im glad I had the opportunity to be there at that time. If I close my eyes, I can still smell the burning rubber. We rode to the track in GTOs and Nickey Cameros!

I never knew that Dyno Don was known for racing Fords, I always knew him for his 409 Bel Air's. About 12 years ago he was running on the Super Chevy magazine circut with a recreation of his white 62 Chevy Bel Air.

RIP DON. My dad worked with the 348-409 when Don was racing the big W. He switch to Ford when GM pulled out of NHRA and NASCAR.
