Incredible low mileage survivor of Virgil Exner’s fabulous Mid-Century Modern ‘Forward Look’ design.

  • 44,000 original miles (documented).
  • Top of the line ‘Fury’ in stunning factory color combo Twilight Blue and Oyster White.
  • Owned 30 years.
  • Original Factory 318ci / 2bbl/ 230hp V8 engine with Torqueflite 3-speed automatic push-button transmission. Drives incredible.
  • Fabulous specification with stunning original Tri-Tone Brocade Interior (not re-pro), perfect original rectangular ‘Aero’ steering wheel and floating 120mph instrumentation pod.
  • Power Steering, power top etc and factory ‘Flitedeck’ faux Continental Kit. Lashings of stainless-steel trim unique to the Fury model and of course those huge tail-fins with NASA style Fury emblems.
  • 1960 was the very last year for tails-fins on a Plymouth and the first year for uni-body construction. These cars are now incredibly rare to find in a convertible and impossible to find in this rust-free original condition.

This is the prettiest 1960 Convertible Fury you will ever find and it may be the finest low mileage survivor example on the planet. Fascinating history file.  Just wow.  Very reluctant sale, serious collectors only please.

Really love those fins. Top to bottom this is a very beautiful car. It seems as though most automobile companies were backing off of the large fins, but the Chrysler Corporation put their foot to the floor and created some beautiful cars still embracing those really cool fins. GLWTS

I spent a lot of hours cruising with a friend in a 60 Plymouth 4 dr. To be honest at the time it was kind of embarrassing to be seen in it but it's all we had. I never thought I would want to own one but the one listed here could change that. 🙂

Great looking 60 Fury. I'd remove the skirts, curb feelers, headlight doohickys and repaint the rims black. The car really doesn't need any of that stuff to stand out!

Agreed about what to remove. Ironically, Virgil Exner hated fender skirts! He believe that the look of an exposed wheel was important to the look of the car. The last thing a car as flashy as that needs is more crap tacked onto it.

This would be what my family might wear If we were to drive this Plymouth around our town:

Anyone interesting in watching a long-winded video of this 1960 Plymouth Fury convertible can look up "Brookway Investments 1960 Plymouth Fury Convertible on YouTube.  IMO those ridiculous headlight covers are a lot more annoying than the fender skirts. BTW there are obviously some rust bubbles forming under the left rear NASA inspired Fury emblem (the Chrysler parts books just called them medallions) and is that really how the front license plate is supposed to be attached to the bumper? Also an Internet search turned up quite a few pictures of other 1960 Fury Convertibles so I don't really believe they're that incredibly rare to find. All things considered it's really a pretty nice car but IMO quite overpriced. Serious collectors only please.
