RivNut
I changed directions on the restoration of my 64 Riviera. I’d like some help in determining the value of the radio that I had intended to install. Here’s what I have: *1964 Buick AM/FM radio that has been refurbished. With fader switch and wiring for rear speaker * correct 6x9 speaker for the rear - new cone and dust cover * correct 4x10 speaker for the front - new cone and dust cover * factory reverb with under the dash switch and all the wiring. I do not have installation instructions but I bet the instructions are in one of the manuals. Here are some pictures that may help (sorry about the poor lighting) If anyone can give me an idea of the value, I’ll have an idea where to start with an eBay listing. Thanks, Ed
Jolly_John
Hi, Ed. I suggest you sell the reverb unit separately, hopefully for obvious reasons, since I don't feel like typing and typing at the moment! No idea about the pricing you should start your eBay auctions at. It probably doesn't matter much, since the eBay auction concept is designed to deliver the best possible current market price...as long as there are several bidders interested in your items. My suggestion would be to use lots of GOOD photos in your eBay auctions, in order to produce the best final results. AND, once your auctions are live, it would seem courteous to post links to them here on the forum. Good luck with your sales. John
RivNut
Thinking about Jolly_John’s reply. If there is anyone on the forum who might be interested in this “package” send me a PM and we can discuss it. Ed
XframeFX
I had my functioning 1963 Wonderbar for $150 on eBay and still have it. As for the Delco AM/FM #980659, must be worth double being refurbished. Not sure on that reverb unit. I love my "upgraded" AM/FM #980659. It Kicks A$$ like those Mono bluetooth boom boxes through that single 3-Way 6X9 in the rear seat. Probably the best part of my Riviera!
NTX5467
(Is that where the "BOOM BOOM BOOM" in the floorboards is coming from?)
Wayne R
Ed this may help you with pricing for your nice radio, i have the same exact model in my Electra convertible, with out the reverb,. So, that eBay link is for a Delco #980463 AM WonderBar, not Delco #980659 AM/FM. Listing is for $500 and no foot switch. I had my functioning #980463 on eBay for $150 with the foot switch and I still have it.
dr914
I would sell it as a package for 650. Hard to find all together like that and you spent good time and money putting it together. Perfect for the concours type who wants all of the factory options
RivNut
I was looking through some boxes looking for some speakers for my ‘90 and I came across an AM Wonderbar with foot button. Untested. If you’d be interested send me a PM. Ed
