John_S_in_Penna
I really like the way the taillights are faired into the upper trunk surface. That's unusual and good looking, too. If I were looking for another car, I'd consider this and take care of the paint issues. Thanks, Fin Seeker! 5 hours ago, 6T-FinSeeker said: Edited February 29 by John_S_in_Penna (see edit history) 2
NC-car-guy
I think the Pontiac and Olds dash for 1960 were much better than the Buick. I like this car. As John mentioned the taillight treatment is smooth and give that Jetson's feeling.
The 55er
Pricey, should be in ready-to-drive-and enjoy-condition with all the mechanicals already fixed. Too many doors and not the most popular model either. And it's an Ohio car, if there are any rust issues at all (rockers, quarters, trunk, tops of front fenders) it would be a strong pass for me.
kingrudy
Nice looking style on this 1960 Pontiac. Seems to need some paint work and some trim is missing on the passengers side fender. The seller does state that the car was in long term storage and I believe that some sorting out would be necessary.
rocketraider
Pontiac was the best styled 1960 GM car even in four-door sedan guise. The roofline blends into the decklid beautifully on the Olds and Pontiac with their FLAT decklids, and especially with the Star Chief's extended decklid. That Sierra Copper is one of the Sixty's definitive colors too. Maybe priced a tad high considering the paint damage and issues from storage, but this car was a harbinger of things to come at GM in the 60s. Yes, I like!😎

I'm more used to seeing that type of C pillar on fancy two door hardtops of that era, like Ford Starliners and GM "bubbletops." I agree that once the paint issues are addressed, this Pontiac could be an affordable way to get into a dramatic looking car with space-age styling. (Love the stars on the side trim!)
John_S_in_Penna
I like the color, which is distinctive--especially for a 4-door car--without being too loud.
Dosmo
I drove my mom's '59 Bonneville 2dr HT in my high school years - what a huge car. Just after I graduated, my uncle gave me a '60 Bonneville 2dr HT. Both cars had the 389 V8 with automatic - I believe the '59 had a 2bbl w/single exhaust, while the '60 had a 4bbl w/single exhaust. The '59 was a slug compared to the '60, but that was probably due to the differences in how they were equipped. I felt then, and still do, that the '59 had the more dramatic styling, inside & out. But, I do prefer the styling of the slightly restrained '60. I liked the '60 dashboard better, too. GM had it going on with this era of Pontiac. Huge cars without seeming bulbous. As they approached the later '60s, that started to change.

jimkf
I'm local to the area and used to see this car at shows. It's a solid car that didn't seem to need much beyond a good detailing to be a nice driver. Four doors isn't everyone's cup of tea today but with one, you'll have plenty of room for the kids on an ice cream run! 2

rocketraider
The question begs why not fix the damn brakes?!🤨 Oh. I forget. In the world of flipping you buy cheap, make absolutely no improvements, and ask double or more what you paid for it.
