1957Birdman
The car looks to be in pretty nice shape, the problem is the styling and color won't set many hearts pounding. Lew Bachman 1957 Thunderbird
DrumBob
Styling and color is right. Putrid, IMO. I still fail to see why any self respecting old car buff would want one of these Detroit malaise era family sedan dinosaurs. $7000? Give me a break.

Rivguy
Well said, that really sums everything up. Different times, different lives, different memories.
B Jake Moran
Correct. It is true this was an odd era to collect overall. But Detroit was on fire in the 70s. Each year they set new records selling cars, even with embargoes, emissions, and 5 mph bumpers.

Extremely well said, M-mman. What you wrote should be saved and be one of the themes of this forum. It's good to preserve once-common cars, too. After many years, they are no longer readily available.

A used car dealer I knew had a succinct way of characterizing the wide variety of buyers: "There's a butt for every seat!"

I understand nostalgia. I wish I had the car I learned how to drive in, a '64 Dodge Dart convertible. At least it was a cool car even back then.
