mike patla
This glass came to me in a Pierce Arrow but I believe Pierce Arrow never used a concave rear window. Somebody out there could need it and I want to bring it to Hershey and I need a little help IDing. Thank you in advance. Mike
drwatson
It has the look of a VW rear window, couldn't locate dimensions, but quoting a VW fan: "there are 3 sizes of post-oval rear windows (58-64, 65-71, 72-77"). The earlier date measured 33" long.
Marty Roth
@mike patla I believe this window is Convex - not concave Exterior surface is curved outward, as in slightly domed - not dished inward from the outside
TOM H. S.
Perhaps a 1950s Pickup Truck rear window.

Not tall enough for VW Beetle rear window. Check glass for manufacturer's name. That should tell us if foreign or domestic.

Yes, here's my '55, the first year for curved rear window. It measures 48x11. Not close to shape of subject glass. Dodge and GM also had curved glass in '55, Ford in '56, but none shaped like glass shown.

Were there any VWs around? Edited September 10, 2023 by keiser31 (see edit history)
