1930-1932~ between the head lights.

 I thought it may be the bar/emblem that goes between the headlights but didn't look long enough. So the left bar is broken off and missing, got ya. Thanks guys

Hey, Lamar, Perhaps you could mention to your wife that this broken BUICK item would make a very distinctive and appropriate grave decoration. You know, an item that could be pounded into the ground next to, or in front of your headstone. Of course, I hope the occasion for such a use doesn't happen prior to the big public event at your BUICK Sales & Service Emporium in October. You've worked so long and hard to make that happen. it's most likely  a 31.  32 badge bars were curved.
