Gettysburg Show-VIDEO LINK ADDED!

I had a great time at the Gettysburg show yesterday. I was in the DPC, we drove (I shall say my son drove) the 2 hrs each way from the top of the bay to the show field. Left about 530 am so I could get to the breakfast on time. Learned some new things and reached a goal.

Weather was drizzly and foggy when we left. All week long they had been calling for 'rain on Saturday'. Heading out with the wipers running full tilt I had my doubts if I made the right decision in a car with leaky tops, LOL. But sun came out and it was a beautiful day.

Saw Terry B., he was  busy stocking up on his inventory, LOL so I didnt want to bother him. Said hi to Richard L.  who assured me my Crankshaft would be in the mail soon.

Lots of beautiful cars, and way more than I had expected. Will post some pics when I get back to my other computer.

Kudos to the Gettysburg region and all of the AACA members who made the show a great success. Although the Saturday

weather was predicted to be iffy in the afternoon, the rain did hold off until most show cars had left after the show was over.

Again thanks to all who helped with the show.

Now THAT is a show I wish I could have attended.  Thank you you for posting the pictures. I'm embarrassed to say I am unable to identify a few of the makes. Could you post car I.D.s?

T. A. Kerry's description of his drive to the show was enjoyable, also. I hope he had a good breakfast.

I'm too far away to drive to it, but I hope to attend next year.

Thanks again for a really nice thread.

Phil

Hi, Phil!  If you click on the photos you may be able to zoom in to see radiator badges.  I took very few windshield card photos….  Is there a particular vehicle you are interested in, I or someone else may be able to identify the car/year/etc.

Thanks for sharing your photographs. Wishing I had ignored the iffy weather forecast and made the trip.

I forgot to add the gratuitous self portrait, LOL. Even though RedBrier got me in the back ground behind the PA.

In one of the pics I have proof that Skyliners tops can stay down, LOL. They were beautiful cars. The rose coloured TBird is not a convertible but is actually a retractable top car. I have never seen one!

Hey Kerry, Thanks for the pictures, I was there but did not get to walk around much. I did my part judging and it was my first test on my knee replacement six months ago, so when I was done with my task I decided it would be best to head home to Long Island, I felt it was best to shut it down before any problems occurred.

John great to see you.  I have posted more pictures on my public Facebook account.  Great show with 517 cars pre-registered and few stayed home.  The Gettysburg Region knows how to manage a show and it was all done great, nice little flea market and of course the hotel complex is perfect to hold an event for us.  Very proud of the Region and co-chairs Don Barlup and Karl Krouch.  Massive amount of work to do these events and the led a great team.
