TOM H. S.
Back in 1915 my father's father worked in a traveling Dog & Pony Show "Carney" Circus, of the day before he was married in the NJ. area. He took a photo of the men hauling some of the set-up equipment in what looks like a chain-driven flat bed truck that I can't figure out what brand the truck it is. In my other research, I've found that in that time period there were a number of the so-called "Uncle Toms Cabin Co." circuses here and there around the country [ No Disrespect Intended or Implied-It's part of our American history ]. Any help Identifying the Truck Brand would be most appreciated. Many Thanks in advance to the AACA community at large. Tom Edited April 11, 2023 by TOM H. S. rocketraider
I can't help you ID the truck, but I wish more people would approach history with your mindset. Someone here should be able to figure out the truck make. Also check with the Antique Truck Club of America www.antiquetruckclub.org . 4

sagefinds
The front section looks Autocar but I don't know if they were ever chain drive.

TOM H. S.
Hi TerryB, I made a better scan of the the old photograph Postcard in color black & white. Shows all people and those sitting on top of equipment. Does look like ALCO pictures I've seen online. Tom H.S.

Terry Harper
Looks similar to an early Autocar but the frame is heavier and the with the flanges turned out rather than in and the radiator is different. Distinct features are the angled steering column and the wrap around front frame.
