Dundee
This feels like one of these stupid questions but how do the tail light bezels hold into the body?? Just to add to the humorous side it seems the Aussie regs back in the day called for a turn signals to be added with clear lenses, hey don’t shoot the messenger.😂pretty sure we can reverse that and I have the single lamp based but the wrong lenses and so it goes. Any extra information appreciated..
RivNut
You are missing the studs and big U brackets. The two housings with two holes for bulbs and the two lenses with clear sections are something that someone “self engineered.” The one in the foreground is correct. Single bulb for the center section of the lens, the outer two sections are reflective. What else is in the box? I'll bet the requirement was for amber turn signals. There was probably an amber bulb (1157A) behind the clear lens...

60FlatTop
7 hours ago, Dundee said: I have the single lamp based but the wrong lenses and so it goes. Any extra information appreciated.. A company named Grote makes a series of white lights. One rectangular one: https://www.zoro.com/grote-lens-clear-4-12-in-rectangle-12v-09681/i/G1889711/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=surfaces&utm_campaign=shopping feed&utm_content=free google shopping clicks&gclid=Cj0KCQjwy5maBhDdARIsAMxrkw1q0nmeMfj-qZyjniRd19NEe5a6cwsjYZFmn4eBqxkzNA_iXc4xcAQaAhylEALw_wcB You might be able to buy a pair and trim the outer lens to make a replacement. I just bought a pair that are large enough and have the right contour to cut down for parking light lenses for my 1948 Chrysler. The original glass lens are hard to get. The ones I got look like glass with a round center and radial concentric lines making a pretty accurate look. 1
XframeFX
10 hours ago, Dundee said: how do the tail light bezels hold into the body? You may not receive much rain down there. But make note for when you do the final install, use a premium 1-piece molded rubber seal between the Bezel and body. I smeared some of Grote Ultra Seal on both sides upon installation. Only source I know, Steele Rubber. Get their lens gasket as well but that one is not as critical. With that superior seal, also, Bernie's ground addition. Amazing how water enters the trunk (boot) through those taillight assemblies.
60FlatTop
Not Riviera but I have one of those too. Just to follow up on making a new lens or changing color here are pictures of my broken glass lens and the taped on first fitting of the one I am trimming to fit. The pair of Grote units were $25. Looks like they will work out fine. I like how they copied the bullseye pattern. Don't worry about the pits. I have three grilles and extra whiskers, might get by with only three pieces to replate. Dundee
Thank you all and picture helps solve the puzzle..thanks FlatTop! Pretty sure in club rego the original set up will be okay TBC. In Aus it is drought or flood and right now it’s flood in many areas so will pay attention to seals. this latest part x4 (BLUE PLASTIC TIPS) in the same container as brackets look wrong vintage to me but just putting it out there to see if it sparks any ideas. Ps the lower Park extensions arrived yesterday Shame about our tanking $$ Edited October 12, 2022 by Dundee Added info (see edit history)

RivNut
As Tom T said. Look for these for your nail head. Each bolts down using the rear bolt for the valve cover. the stainless (chrome ?) shown above are for the finned aluminum covers. If you have painted steel valve covers, the supports will be painted and have a relief cut into them to go over the hump where the bolt goes. I purchased Taylor 8mm Spiro-Pro sparkplug wires based on Tom T's recommendation that they fit the original 7mm wire holders. They do indeed! However, one sparkplug boot split already and I did use the supplied dielectric grease. 90 day warranty . . . . They supplied extra boots for both ends (HEI) but the plug boots are 90 deg. angle for SBC. I repaired it with my go-to self vulcanizing silicone tape. Edited October 13, 2022 by XframeFX . telriv
John, For all the years I've been using these wires I have never had a problem like that??? Nor has anyone complained about this problem after I installed them & we're talking about years.. Tom T.

Any extra information appreciated.. Have there been special requirements for Rivieras imported to Australia when new ? Not sure if there where different taillights in Rivieras assembled (or prepared to fit the local legal requirements) in Switzerland or Belgium, when sold new to Europe. Never saw a car sold new in Germany. Just thinking it could be.

Lenses crudely cut and glued with clear insert and wiring added an indicator lamp also done by what we would call a bush carpenter😝The import numbers NEW to Australia (if any) would have been to small for factory to do any mods I am sure. Unfortunately I don’t have that kind of history on the car about the original owner but could guess a second hand import as I would think that such poor modifications would have been unheard of on a new car?!!
