John Bloom
It’s always interesting when people decide to sell their car, and you would assume look and see what nice examples sell for, and when they see a car that doesn’t need paint, doesn’t need chrome work, doesn’t need an interior, and runs really well and it sells for 40,000, thinking to himself I’ll ask 30 for mine that needs everything..... 4
alsancle
This is a very very very cool car. It’s also not worth anything near what they’re asking.
AdamInNH
I had considered buying one of these, twenty-one years ago. Guy in Wisconsin had a really nice one for sale, I drove the car and it was a turnkey example. Seems the price was around $40k at the time. I don’t think the value on these has gone anywhere in that time. The one in that ad in that condition, no one is going to pony up anywhere near $30K. People are in fantasyland. Previously known as “The Elephant” now referred to as “The Turd” because of its rare, rust covered body in this style. So many of the 180’s I see are touring sedans. I believe this is the 1806 as a club sedan and if so is 127 in WB. But what a money pit. It needs something going for it to lure a sane person to take it on. i.e........runs great or nice original paint.....something.
Leif in Calif
No doubt still a money pit, but (as we have shown) we aren't always completely rational in our purchases. the current ad: https://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/cto/7551103898.html email: 9a3d21266198329cb713d8c0239eb5d1@sale.craigslist.org
