TexRiv_63
Have no idea about the price but I love this, don't think I've ever seen a two door sedan before.
Marty Roth
Ordered primarily for drag racing from the car hop? I'm surprised they didn't do the radio delete, heater delete, and the clock delete to save a bit of weight ! I do notice the absence of a vacuum boosted "power" brake option, and don't see a power steering pump under the hood- so this car was set up as a "Go Fast" sleeper? It apparently came from one of the states which allowed "Quad" headlights in 1957 (some did, many didn't), and it seems that most 1957 models came through with 7" sealed beam lights - one on each side. Many makers designed their cars to accept "Quad" where available, and for he following year, after federal and state nationwide approval.

1957Birdman
I always thought that the single headlight 57's looked better than the dual headlight version. I agree that the asking price is pretty optimistic, but overall looks like a very nice car. Lew Bachman 1957 Thunderbird
58L-Y8
Two options that would have made this Mercury even more of a performance 'sleeper' would be 1) a 290 hp 368 ci V8 (Lincoln engine) or 2) the M-335 Power Package: two, four-barrel carburetors, 335 hp, 368 ci V8 which was optional on Montereys. kingrudy
I like everything on this car, but the wheels. Never seen them before and would mind if I never see them again. Beautiful car though.
63RedBrier
Wow! $11,000 price drop... Is the new price more realistic?
