1955 Packard Senior Patrician Runs and Drives Well. Good tires. Everything works, except the radio. Has power seat and windows and Leveling suspension.

I like the exterior, too.  The engine compartment

needs at least some cleaning.

 

But I think, since the interior is clearly a later

decade's velour and is maybe $5000 to $8000 

to correct, the price isn't as good as it first looks.

 

With some effort, it could be beautiful all-around.

Agree that the interior seems more recent,

and that the engine compartment might not be all that bad - maybe ?

 

Potentially solid car for entry-level higher class driver?

If I wanted (or even needed?) more, I could see throwing $6K or $7K at it.

 

At least it seems clean enough that you wouldn't be ashamed to drive it on tours.

What gets into people that they will pay serious money to do an interior and then use that mouse fur cloth stuff that jumps out as incorrect? The person who owned that car cared enough to try to come close to the correct pattern. If the original material is unobtainable or too expensive, why would he not at least try for something appropriate to the period?
