Nice original factory paint - emerald and ice green with matching green wheels and trim rings/dog dish caps. Odometer shows 22,112 miles - all evidence supports that it is original. Texas car its whole life. Slumbered for decades before rehab in past two years. Jetaway transmission just professionally completely rebuilt (seals were leaking), new freeze plugs, coolant, fresh oil, recent clay bar/gentle wax job. Owner before me overhauled brakes, rebuilt carb, fuel pump, re-cored radiator and installed new water pump. Very clean engine bay. Starts easily and has been driven locally. Speedo cable chatters some. Tires have decent tread but are old. Signals don't work. Radio works. Told that routine maintenance could have AC working. Some small paint stains on hood and trunk lid. Some light pitting, minor chips on sides. There is small peeling (hand-size) spot on top of right rear pass side quarter. Overall, finish presents as nice original paint. One small ding on front pass-side stainless trim. Very nice stainless, chrome, badging, tinted glass. Interior: Nice original door panels, seat covers but stiff cushions. Good original carpet, perfect headliner, good trunk liner. History: Owned by same lady for 60 years, San Antonio General Olds dealer tag on trunk. Five dog dish caps like one shown in trunk. Car is in Wichita, Kansas. Edited January 10, 2022 by 6T-FinSeeker update status (see edit history)

kingrudy
25K is way too much for this four door sedan in my opinion. If this was the four door hard top you could start the conversation, but not for this model with the soiled front seat, speedo does not work it reads 30 mph when it is standing still, paint peeling etc. I like the '59 Olds, but this is the entry level model. Maybe worth 20K, but that is a stretch.
Jim Skelly
It looks decent other than the front seat. I don't see any apparent rust from the photos. But it does seem like a lot of money. The lowest series was the Dynamic 88. My grandparents had a Dynamic 88 2-door hardtop in two-tone green.

suchan
The eBay results will likely be the reality check the seller needs. No way this is getting bid up anywhere near $25K.

My estimate is $10,000, or maybe $12,000 if someone is feeling really generous. We'll see what the auction brings. As long as an auction is seen by a lot of people, the one benefit of auctions is that they reveal what all potential buyers think a car is worth. JamesR
If the seller got anything close to what he was asking he was very lucky, IMHO. It is a nice car, though.

It is a nice car, though. It's extremely doubtful that he did. I think that's the ploy of many dealers: Mark something double what it's worth, and double what they just paid. Keep up the charade of a high price as long as the car is available. When it's sold, cross off the price with a "Sold" sign, so people think he must have gotten close to that figure. If he gradually marked it down to $10,000, and then marked it sold, he couldn't ask $24,000 for the next one!
