TAKerry
I found this place by accident, but it was a great place to spend a few hours. Those that dont know, Curtiss was quite an interesting aviation pioneer. Lots of cool stuff there aviation wise as well as some neat old cars. Its fairly close to Watkins Glenn.

Canadian PB Kid
We stopped here in 2010 on a trip around Lake Ontario and truly enjoyed it, not only was he an early innovator in aircraft but he also was an early innovator of motorcycles, here's one of his 4 cylinder models.

hddennis
Pretty sure that 4 cylinder is just the right bank of a V-8 motorcycle. https://newatlas.com/glen-curtiss-pioneer-aviator-land-speed-record-holder/46766/ Howard Dennis Edited February 19, 2022 by hddennis (see edit history) 1

Durant Mike
Years ago took our Durant Motors Automobile Club East Coast chapter through this museum. Host hotel was in Corning and then we drove up to this museum. Then visited the oldest winery in Western New York there. Was a great tour for the group and everyone enjoyed it. The museum has something for everyone, cars, planes, motorcycles, gun collections and other stuff. Great place to visit if your in that part of New York! Gary_Ash
We visited there today, June 28, 2023, spent a couple hours seeing bicycles, motorcycles, airplanes, and cars. There is even a C-46 airplane parked out front. I think the photo posted earlier of a 4-cylinder motorcycle actually shows the V8 motorcycle that Glenn Curtis drove 136 mph on the Florida sands setting a land speed record. I liked the early flying boats that Curtis built. Here are a few things we saw. P-40 fighter being reconstructed from the wrecks of two planes that collided in mid-air, then sat in a swamp for decades. 1928 Chandler. 1923 Oldsmobile. Curtis Aerocar trailer, connected by 5th wheel hitch to a car. Interior of Aerocar. There was a toilet and kitchen in the rear. 1911 Pierce 4-cylinder motorcycle. Info about Pierce motorcycle. 3
Walt G
I visited the Curtis museum some years ago, well worth the time and effort to see . Really well done ( I say this from the standpoint of a former museum exhibits technician) thanks Gary! Walt
