Alternator , battery , under hood horn , white walls , spot light all not original. Electric hand unit on column , but missing under hood pieces. Dash color is off , modern wiring.
hwellens
Why does it has external and engine mounted horns. An option? Also the air cleaner is chromed?
paulrhd29nz
I love 34/35 Hudson’s. get rid of those hideous white walls and you would have a nice car. this one has been obviously converted to 12 volts hence the alternator. The horn on the motor is modern so the car has a horn. The original horns are on the front. And are six volt. Hopefully not fried during the conversion. That looks to be a 6 volt optima battery in there, and the 6 volt alternators are available pos or neg ground.

I missed the red top. I have them at 6 volt on all my cars. But I did a quick google search and the red tops come in 12v as well. Who knew. JACK M
The 12 volt is about twice as wide.
Bloo
The earliest Optimas I remember were 12 volt red tops, and came in 2 forms, both the approximate size of a group 24. One version had top posts, the other had both top posts and side posts.
StillOutThere
Y'all do all know this is a TERRAPLANE 6 and not a Hudson 6, right? Its a very nice car and if the seller will post the VIN, and the wheelbase, we'll know more. The grille insert, hood single wing ornament, hood side venting are all Terraplane. It does have the desirable chromed deep draw Hudson headlights.
