1948 oldsmobile

I'm not sure how to post Craigslist ads to this forum but I saw in antiques on space coast fl. Craigslist a 48 olds for $4500 that didn't sound too bad not mine. Funny they're calling it a 1948 Buick Olsmobile?

8" must be correct, because the engine numbers match the body . . . .🙄

Just in chrome for grill and bumpers is what he is asking for the car.  Looks to be nice brightwork. That is BIG expense on these. Especially the grill.

I love these 1948 Oldsmobiles. My father had 2. One that he bought new and was a light blue 2 door 8 cyl. He sold it to my grandfather in 1949 after he bought a new Futuramic 88. My Papa drove it until 1960. When he bought a 1959 Pontiac. The other was a black 2 door 8 cyl. It was my dad's work car and he named it Lucy. I rode in it many times in the late 1950s and early 60s. All of these being Hydramatics.  Many times while sitting in the front seat next to my father, he would let me hold the steering wheel. No child seats!!!!

this is one of those cars with a big frown on the grille.  Another car with a frown was the 51-52 Plymouth.
