Tim Keller
We are looking to hire someone to serve as a consultant to help prepare for an upcoming auction of Richard Weis Automotive Lamps and Model T parts in Manheim, PA in the next two weeks. As you may know, Richard G. Weis of Marion, NY, was a 50 year member of AACA and enjoyed his trip to Hershey, PA for the sale of his antique car parts every year since 1968. His last 30 years of sales specialized in early brass era parts mainly brass lamps, brass carburetors, horns, coil boxes, etc. and many other early brass cars. 2014 was his final year at Hershey before his passing. This auction is the remainder of his collection consisting of restored lamps and all his parts and pieces of brass lamps that were used for his restoration and many unrestored lamps. Also included is his collection of early and late brass carburetors, mainly ford and some early brass unknown carburetors, plus restored and unrestored horns, coil boxes, manifolds, and all of the remainder of his parts inventory. If you would be interested in helping to sort and lot the auction, please contact Tim Keller of H.K. Keller at 717-951-3861 or email tim@hkkeller.com. Thanks. old car fan
Wow,I remember him.I think your best bet would be to consign it to a well known auto auction.auburn fall is right around the corner, they may do it.a regular auction will not work.My thoughts
Tim Keller
I understand. These items will be sold in an online auction enabling anyone to bid from their location. Edited August 1, 2018 by Tim Keller (see edit history)
Terry Bond
As a fellow lamp collector I knew Richard well and helped him with additions to his hoard as well as some bits and pieces. I'd love to be there to see them but unfortunately am not able to assist. Whatever is done with them, plenty of good clear photos on the auction website will help tremendously. Bob He may be doing his own on-line auction as that is what most of his auction offerings have been lately. I’m about 5 miles from Manheim but these items are out of my knowledge base.
