1920s-30s Packard emblem

This Packard emblem came out of an estate I cleaned out. It's just over 5" long and fairly thick. Any ideas out there as to where this goes on the car and what year or years it fits?

As always, thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Keep in mind that Packard made LOTS of stuff, with their name on it. When visiting Kanter Auto Products in New Jersey, I always enjoyed looking at that (16 cyl,. maybe?) Packard engine they had on display from a WWII era torpedo boat (like McHale's Navy). They only had one valve cover (8 or 10 ft long) on it, with the Packard script on it.

Could be the piece that mounts in the middle of a '38 Packard rear bumper.

I looked around the internet and it appears you are correct. Couldn't find a close picture of the rear bumper, but from a distance that's what it appears to be. It's a pretty heavy duty piece and that would make sense.

Thank!
