Restorer32
Can anyone date this Packard banner. My guess is 1950s? It is 22 feet long and has hung in our shop since 1990. Excellent condition despite the obvious several inches of dust clinging to it. It has been there so long it has become invisible. Thinking of sending it along to someone who would appreciate it as we have.

drwatson
It was a national "win a Packard" contest that took place May to June 1953 as defined in these Texas newspaper clips.

K8096
Tell us abut the Falls Tires sign. Is that from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio? There were many smaller tire manufactures around Akron and I'm wondering if this was one of them?
Restorer32
I don't know anything about the FALLS Tire sign. I have 3 of them, 1 horizontal and 2 vertical. I bought them from an ex employee who found them in a barn. They were still in their original packaging. Any info is appreciated.

wmsue
We have the National Packard Museum in Warren, Ohio. Don't know if they would like to hang it in on their wall, but I could ask if you are looking to donate it to a worth cause. Bill
Restorer32
Unfortunately I am not in a position to donate it and have no idea as to its value. In the early 1980's a fellow walked up to our stand at Hershey with a paper grocery bag under his arm. Said he had something we needed and rolled the banner out on the grass. Reluctantly I gave him the $25 he was asking, only because I had the perfect spot for it. At 22 + feet long it needs a big wall to display. I appreciate the positive dating. I assumed it was '50s but knew nothing specific.
