Paul Dobbin Posted October 3, 2016 Share Posted October 3, 2016 The story was about a Model A Truck found in a lake with underwater pictures. Another poster related this story for you Packard guys. My Dad was a captain on the Great Lakes ore freighters. Back in the early 50's they were up bound to Duluth, light (no cargo). They stopped and put on 150 Packards for Minnesota. These cars were set on the deck and since the weather in the southern lakes was fair they just set the parking brakes. Well, when they got on Lake Superior the weather turned rough and going into Duluth they started to roll. They lost 37 brand new Packards overboard that afternoon.
