beerczar1976
Recently in preps for firing my stored '50 Special, I removed the spark plugs and put a couple squirts of Marvel Mystery Oil in each of the cylinders. A couple days later, I found a red-tinged (Mystery Oil scented) drip mark on the garage floor directly below the outlet from the Road Draft Tube. Indeed there was a small drop of the same color/scented oil on the tip of the Tube as well. Is it normal for the Mystery Oil to have worked its way down thru the block and out the tube? My understand of how the Tube works is that excess gasses from the combustion process normally exit from there, so reasonably, I guess, the oil could have worked its way down there as well. My other thought, though, is wouldn't have gone down into the oil pan instead of out the Tube?
Ben Bruce aka First Born
Naw, you spilled some ON the draft tube. To come OUT of the draft tube the engine would have to be Full up to above the lifters. Improbable. Ben

60FlatTop
I'm with Ben. Most road draft tubes have steel wool stuffing and a directional passage. Bernie
