stock_steve
I about fell in love with this '68 or '69 Buick Riviera that was parked among the club member cars at the Central CT Region AACA Glastonbury car show on Sunday, June 9th, 2012 (no identification cards on any of the member cars since they were on display only and not in the car show per se). Based on the grille, I'll guess it's a '68:Steve2003 Buick LeSabre, Dark Bronzemist MetallicBCA #47004<!-- google_ad_section_end --><!-- google_ad_section_end --><!-- google_ad_section_end --><!-- google_ad_section_end -->

Nice pics all...Now that I am a BCA member, Steve, I seem to pay extra attention to Buicks! And, boy, did I have a field day checking out all the magnificent specimens at your car show this year! I'm definitely getting near the end, but have a couple more quickie photo subjects to cover from Glastonbury--then I will be moving on to the Main Street Middletown event (Wednesday evening, 6/12/2013) to document a few very nice old Buicks that were on display there as well.My '03 LeSabre is far from an antique but it is showing me that they are really nice cars! And I have a little bit of Buick family heritage too, with my dad having owned a few in his history (including the '03 which was his last).Let me say thanks once again to you and everyone involved with producing the wonderful annual Glastonbury Central CT Region event--really enjoyed ourselves there this year!Steve2003 Buick LeSabre, Dark Bronzemist MetallicBCA #47004<!-- google_ad_section_end --><!-- google_ad_section_end --><!-- google_ad_section_end --><!-- google_ad_section_end --><!-- google_ad_section_end -->
stock_steve
Back to the Central CT Region AACA Glastonbury show, Sunday, June 9th, 2013, for the last couple of subjects...The owner of this very slick 1969 Skylark 2-door hardtop identified the car's model name on his windshield card as a "Canada Skylark."Not knowing what that meant, I did a little google research, and learned that GM built many cars in Canada, including the Skylark, the quote below is from the page (the underlining of the last sentence in the quote is by me): Canada Only General Motors Cars - Generations of GM <<"...Aside from Pontiac, the rest of the GM family received little special attention in Canada over its U.S. counterparts. Although the Canadian built McLaughlin-Buick name was dropped in 1942, GM Canada did build a unique Custom model (starting in 1951) that matched the entry level U.S. Buick Special. Outside the car were the same, but inside, a mixture of Buick and Oldsmobile trim was used. By 1966, the only Buick built in Canada was the Skylark model, and then the Sainte-Thérèse plant in Quebec built Skylarks until 1977, with most of these heading to the U.S...">>And here it is:Steve2003 Buick LeSabre, Dark Bronzemist MetallicBCA #47004<!-- google_ad_section_end --><!-- google_ad_section_end --><!-- google_ad_section_end --><!-- google_ad_section_end --><!-- google_ad_section_end --><!-- google_ad_section_end -->

stock_steve
Here's my last Buick photo subject from the Central CT Region Glastonbury show, Sunday, June 9th, 2013--and unfortunately just this one photo of this superb 1984 Buick Riviera, in Firemist Red (according to the owner's info card). The card also indicated that the owner drove all the way up from the Shoreline area (just like me!) to participate!EDIT: Note also the California plate, and the cool metal dealer frame from "Putnam Buick" in Burlingame--apparently still in business, as "Putnam Chevy Buick GMC Cadillac," ref: http://www.putnamgm.com/ Next stop, we'll be checking out some more Beautiful Buicks--this time on Main Street in Middletown, CT, for the Main Street Middletown Car Cruise, that took place on Wednesday evening, June 12th, 2013--so please do stay tuned...Steve2003 Buick LeSabre, Dark Bronzemist MetallicBCA #47004<!-- google_ad_section_end --><!-- google_ad_section_end --><!-- google_ad_section_end --><!-- google_ad_section_end --><!-- google_ad_section_end --><!-- google_ad_section_end --><!-- google_ad_section_end --> Edited June 19, 2013 by stock_steve (see edit history)

stock_steve
Here is a very nice '71 4-door Skylark that was on display at the Main Street Middletown Cruise Night, Wednesday evening, June 12th, 2013. It parked on the "south green" that is located at the southern end of Main Street in Middletown, CT. This green filled up rapidly (after all the Main Street proper spaces were filled), showing what an amazing turnout there was for this event.Steve2003 Buick LeSabre, Dark Bronzemist MetallicBCA #47004 Edited June 22, 2013 by stock_steve (see edit history)
