Steve Moskowitz
I will post info as it becomes available. We do have a few restuarants such as Pizza Hut, Wendy's and Union Canal House that may not be reopened in time. However, there is already a RV show going on at the Giant Center and crews have the roads patched and cleared off accept for a few locations. Here are reports as know:Hershey Highmeadows (campground) is scheduled to re-open September 26. If they find they will not be able to open or are having issues they will contact individuals with reservation directly.
Shop Rat
If Hershey Highmeadows Campground does not open, or has areas that are not open, here is where we stay. I talked to Dave and they had no flooding and all utilities are working. They are not far from Hershey out towards Elizabethtown. Easy drive in. Have stayed here for years. Can handle tents to big rig RVs. Shop Rat
mastertech, If you are speaking of trying out Hershey Conewago Campground it is a nice place. Not a fancy RV resort but neatly kept and clean bathhouses. They have laundry facilities up by the main office. Backroads into Hershey. Some very good family places to eat nearby. Some even offer discounts to those staying at that campground. They also have four of the Kamping Kabins from when they were a KOA Kampground. We started going to Heshey in the mid eighties and have always stayed at this campground. Sadly we have lost many of the folks from our Region that went. It is now down to just five of us. Steve Moskowitz
HIGHMEADOWS CAMP GROUND WILL BE OPEN! A few of their buildings will have to be torn down but they are bringing in trailers as temporary offices. It is still by far the most convenient camp ground around.
