Thriller
Stuart - does that make you a hot-head? There's no snow on the ground. I couldn't think of wearing a fur hat in the sort of weather in the photo. That said, I do wear a toque more than most folks, but that has something to do with having nearly no hair on my head. Thriller
A bit off topic, but I got a photo of every vehicle in the parade and had put together a Powerpoint presentation of it. I should really re-do it since I had resized the photos a bit on the small side.

garnetkid
A good thread! Always like to see more Buicks and owners. Here is me with our 1925 model 45 taken a couple years ago. I have a little more gray in the hair now. Leon
Larry Schramm
Here is a picture of the 1918 Buick truck with my son Jeff. This will probably be his truck. He can drive a manual transmission vehicle as his regular driver is an Chevy S-10 4 cyl with a 5 speed manual trans. :-) Edited February 18, 2011 by Larry Schramm (see edit history)

JohnD1956
Garnetkid, great car! Welcome to the Forum. Hope to see more of the car there. Larry, your son looks happy in that truck. Just curious, what's the rear axle ratio in that vehicle? And Keith, NICE!!! Great background on the 67 picture.

Larry Schramm
JohnD1956,The pix with my son is the first time that he got to check out the truck. He is ready to get it running. Looking farther up in the thread you can see him in our 1915 truck. He is a great help on the trucks. I looked up the gear ratio and according to the book it is a 4.07:1 gear ratio. JohnD1956
Man, those tall gears must be killers on gas milage. But they were probably necessary given the general horsepower rating on the engines of the era.
