I have never driven a T. There is no excuse for that, I find them growing on me. Give us updates and pics (engine, interior, etc) when you can.

Glenn , I think you are right. Sorry I was lazy. I was going to post this instead but I thought perhaps it ended with the TR3 use. Not that there’s anything wrong with triumph motorcycles, I love those too!

Good point Steve, I am (as of a month ago) without a British roadster for the first time in a long time. I just assume that there will be one again at some point. I like stuff at the top of the market, the bottom of the market, and everything in between...........Makes for a dysfunctional never ending search. I think I could fall for a TR3.....charm and racing heritage and a little more substantial than an MGA (which are drop dead gorgeous), but not moving you up into Big Healey or E-type money.

Marjorie Eccles looks like someone I'd like to meet. "capability beyond the norm" I think might be fair to say.......

That always feels good, I really like the T's and in the last year have had that little voice inside saying "go get one". I like the Center doors, Doctor's Coupe's, early brass stuff. So many choices since tons of them are still around. Have you had this for a long time and just woke it up, or did you just get it?

That's what I thought. A potential buyer would want to really check it out thoroughly, but these are really cool and anyone who bought it would be welcomed into their local British car club with it.

Not mine, every car is a crap shoot, but at first glance this looked like it could be a whole lot of fun for a modest buy in.......Of course it's always better to pay double this and buy a better car..........but we all know that by now don't we? 8K?...Maybe 6-7K. These are stylish and cool. someone (not me of course) should take a chance on this and make us jealous. No engine or underneath shots, but nothing is ever wrong there...... I like it. I have never owned one but I have had several British roadsters, and I have spent quite a bit of time around TR6’s, to include helping a friend restore one 30 years ago. I am currently without a British Roadster (sigh). The TR6 is on my short list should I “step back into the water”..... Congratulations, and I look forward to you sharing some of the fun and trials as you bring her back to life. it is still early February, I think with some new purchase enthusiasm, weekends with and agenda of what needs attention and a “little bit of cash”, you are looking at enjoying the summer with some top down Triumph touring.

Yep, that seems to be a fairly new phenomenon, but you see it quite a bit in sale prices lately and that is $10,000 of money well spent.

Nice looking car and I love the 53 front end, but every time I see one of these I’m struck by how unimpressive the dash is. It is clean and uncluttered but does nothing to stir the soul. Think about the dash in a 34 or 37 Packard. This looks like a dash that belongs in a Nash metropolitan.

There are lots of questions and some things clearly are not ideal, but at the right number, you can probably live with them.

Includes two unrestored: spare tire rims, driver's side spare tire mount & rear luggage rack. The car was sold new in lower Michigan, where it began restoration, and spent most of its life, before moving to California. It’s always good every now and then to remind yourself and others that there are some guys driving super expensive high-end cars and those guys are broke. There are also some guys driving around in a ratty modest model T, and they own the whole town. I know examples of both of those types of people.

Now I remember, pay to have my wife become a member of the Pierce Arrow society, and let her know about it in a mushy card.

We have some of that warmth coming across to our area as well. I think there could be a window to get out and play with some stuff, but surely reality will sweep across us northern people again. I have to keep reminding myself it’s still early February.

I don't think its overpriced and if that Brown was an option when new, I don't mind it. Brown would rarely be my first choice in a color, but I have decided lately that Brown period correct cars look much better in person than in Photographs. I'd think the new CCCA status of Lasalle my stir up a few interested buyers for this car. It only needs one to change hands.

I know I've seen this car not too long ago, but can't remember where. I forgot the 6 series still had cowl lights like the 443/526, but those headlights aren't 640 headlights. What a mess and treasure at the same time.

Great find. The car figures prominently in the show, lots of footage of it. A great looking ride. makes me want one. Truthfully, I'd forgotten about Dennis the Menace. You have to wonder how this episode came into existence (writer or director was a fan???), and I wonder if the car is still with us. It looks nice and you'd hope it has been kept in a collection somewhere.

You are right on Steve. I like the C3's. I owned a 73, but have an itch to get a 68-72. They were that "sexy" car I first fell in love with as a little kid (A sixth grader in 1976). I've driven a few and they tended to be "rattly and loose" in their handling and road manners. Maybe I haven't driven a good one......? I look frequently, and if I had to guess, I'd say 8/10 have an engine swap or significant parts swaps with the old block. I suspect the coupe's are more rigid than the roadsters and that may affect the driving experience. My boys (mid 20's) comment a lot on "chrome bumper sharks", and that is not lost on me. I do want to see them embrace the hobby, something we can enjoy together and buying one of these would instantly have them more involved. The car in question looks nice. I find the color attractive, and a refreshing change from the more common red C3 (not that there's anything wrong with red). Steve, what was the driving experience with your 71?

A strong price for a four door sedan, but I like it. You will never know unless you go see it in person. The price might be negotiable, and still a lot of money for a sedan, but if it’s super clean and everything is perfect and it runs well and doesn’t have a laundry list of things incorrect or not working or in poor condition, you’re probably better off paying a little bit of a premium as opposed to saving 10 grand and buying a car with needs that either never get done, or if they do, you’ll spend over 20 grand doing them.
