  1. Interesting that in 1941 the "redesigned" Willys AMERICAR used the quarter window behind the door like this Aussie 1939 Overland did. I kind of prefer the 1937 - 1940 body without the quarter window. Diversity is good. W O K R ~ a GREAT Club and I am a member. Original Factory Draings available for many of the WILLYS OVERLAND KNIGHT autos and trucks!
  2. Read an article about a Toyota Engine that was apparently marketed only in Japan. It was based on the Chrysler "Hemispherical" combustion chamber. I believe it was a V - 6 configuration. Does any one have or know of any information about this "Non - export" production engine? Many thanks!
  3. Interestingly, I just sourced some info on this subject on the net last week. Looking to recast some Door Handles for a 1935 - 36 WILLYS 77 - specifically the Exterior Passenger Side Locking Handle and the Rear Door Locking Handle for a Panel Delivery - IF I can locate one, that is! Also the other problem is going to be finding a BRIGGS & STRATTON style Lock Cylinder to put in the handle! Any ideas, suggestions? Many thanks, eh.
  4. INTERESTED IN A POSSIBLE WILLYS KNIGHT, WHIPPET OR "COMMERCIAL" WILLYS TRADE! EVEN A LATE MODEL WILLYS TRADE? MAHALO!
  5. THESE ARE VERY NEAT UNITS! ALWAYS HAVE LOVED THE "COMMERCIAL" SIDE OF THE HOBBY! THE FRONT END REMINDS ME OF THE WILLYS "CAB OVER ENGINE" PANEL DELIVERY ~ MANUFACTURED FROM 1940 -1942/ kNOW THERE WERE A COUPLE AROUND ABOUT 15 - 20 YEARS AGO, SAW PHOTOS ON THE NET. DON'T KNOW IF THERE ARE ANY LEFT. WOULD BE INTERESTING TO FIND ONE.
  6. Post photos of the cars here - that is the quickest way to ID the parts; it's visual or post the part numbers and somebody may be able to look up the numbers. Alternately, go to a dealer with the part numbers.
  7. Used to listen to KRED in L.A. on my "TOWN and COUNTRY" Radio back in the Sixties and Seventies. Especially when the skip was good. Whoops, that's a new thread, maybe?
  8. Hard to ID any car just from Parts unless you are a real pro! (speaking for myself, here!). Photos of the actual cars would help, Ford's first Galaxie was 1959 and the Bel Air was 1953. Don't think these parts are those years.
  9. Hi Susan: I'll be watching for this movie to purchase! Watched a bit of the preview. Also Faith Granger's movie "Deuce of Spades was interesting! Can't say I'd let my 9 or 5 1//2 year old kids watch it though - "language" you know!
  10. Looked on the web for info on J. Roy Hunt. He built a "motorhome" (if I can use that term) conversion on a 1935 WILLYS 77 Panel/Sedan Delivery. I got this info out of Hemmings. Then later he built a "Housecar" about 1940? It's in the Petersen??? Museum in California, if memory serves me correctly. I'm specifically looking for info on the 1935 WILLYS 77 if any is available. (If this isn't in the correct place on the forum, please feel free to move it to where it belongs!). Thanks for any info/help you can give me.
  11. To quote "Dagored", you get what you pay for! I'm a Canon SLR film believer guy, but purchased a cheep! point and shoot. It's fine for the time being and I like the fact that you can see and delete photos right away, if need be. Mind you I never had a problem with the film stuff but things don't focus liker they used to! (Not the camera!). I'll be purchasing the "Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS7" just as soon as I can! The sales guy at London Drugs sold me on it! He said it would be the one he'd get for his parents (or Grandparents). It's the best bang for the buck you'll get. Check out "dpreview" for some online advice.
  12. Post those other photos! Does this "size" sheet metal fit the Pickup - probably not?!
  13. Hi Rich: I saw a 1942 Mercury Woodie on the internet earlier today. I'll try to find it again - it was up for sale at an auction of woodies held out in California! tt
  14. Finally found some "Stone Stock" Photos! Kind of nice to see them in their Original Glory! But if you find any more pictures, please post them or email them to me! MAHALO!
  15. Walt: Put your ad in the vcca Chatter forum (Vintage Chevrolet Club of America) and I think Chevs of the 40s has a repro grille? Google year and grille and you should find something.
  16. Thanks Mr.(s) Peterson & Burgess for the fine work and info that you provide! Just caught this reply today. Gloria, I look forward to meeting you out here but I don't know where the meets are! You're going to enjoy your holiday out here in the beautiful Canadian Rockies, though ~ bring Mr. B along in one of the Antique cars. Maybe you'll be able to charge it to the AACA "Expense" account! lol! Anyhow, thanks!
  17. Looking for BRIGGS & STRATTON Key Blanks ~ do you have any thing avaiolable? Thanks! If you do could you send info? Photos?
  18. Would you have a trunk or rumbleseat lid available - Model 75?
  19. Saw the movie myself with a "mate" and his son - we all enjoyed it! They still ride, I like my four wheels. Still available for rent up north here, but will probably buy a copy when I see one! |Thanks for the memories. TT
  20. Steve, asked Peter about this and he wasn't sure - Can "Canuck" residents buy a ticket? If us northerners can win, it just might help out the sales, EH! MAHALO! Tom
  21. Is there a "sample" copy available or something online? Did not know there was a magazine! Just never thought about it. Any back issues covering Willys? (Specifically Model 77, I hope!) MAHALO! Tom
