Can someone help identify a 1940's Willys 4 door
Willys77 replied to a topic in Kaiser, Frazer, Darrin, Henry J, Willys
You have a "DELUXE" Sedan as denoted by the Stainless Trim on the hood and the body. Also, vent windows on the Deluxe and the Column Mounted Gear Selector. There will be a "DeLuxe" badge on the dash, possibly a radio, deluxe cloth upholstery etc. The 1937-39s had the "Flat" trunk lid; not sure about the 1940s. The lower trim level cars were called "Speedway" and had a floor mounted shifter. Those are some of the differences that I am aware of. If you want to send me the "DATA" Code (Serial #) info, I could decode it for you? It is located on the Passenger Side Firewall when you open the hood. Hope this helps. -

Definitely 1940! What are you going to do with it? I'd be interested if you want to sell it or part it out! Thanks. -

PROXLIN Paint Formulas Information requested! I have a "mixing formula" for the "Fall 1930 WILLYS WHIPPET Color "Stone Gray Dark". Can anyone provide info as to whether this formulation would be able to be converted over to a modern formula by whomever? Not too concerned as to which company can mix the paint, so long as it would be correct. Thanks for the help!

Already checked with "Jimmy Chips" at Auto Color Library and the info they have on file "ends" in 1932 and "resumes" in 1937! That is why I posted here for some HELP! I know that this info exists for the MODEL 77 WILLYS ~ I just haven't located it YET! I figure this is a sort of last resort inquiry! My vehicle has had a repaint - in and out so no success from that avenue. Any and all assistance will be greatly appreciated. I especially need the Color info for ANY 1935 Listings and in particular ~ Gray! No information on the Dupont site, either! Looking!

Possibly interested in locating either a Whippet or Willys Roadster - either a Parts Car or a Complete car. Would entertain Roadster specific parts, as well - such as top irons, trunk or Rumble Seat lid, windshield frame etc. Leads appreciated! Thanks for notifying me of what you have stashed out on the "Back Forty!"

Looking for either or both the Paint Chips and the Paint Codes for 1933 ~ 1936 WILLYS Model 77 vehicles. If you don't have any to sell, could you photocopy the information and forward it to me? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for any help.

Who would be recommended to restore a pair of 1933 FORD Stainless Steel Headlights? Could, would you attempt this yourself? One of them has a larger "dent". Other than gaskets and a bit of Bulb Socket work, they are quite nice. Original Script Lenses and all! Any advice, suggestions etc. appreciated.

Fix the rust - I'd do the quarter and really consider doing the floor sections, as well! Leave the rest, except for the necessary mechanical items, keep anything you remove, especially if it is factory original, document everything (log book) and enjoy that beautiful Ragtop!
