  1. My 1926 Doors are 47-1/4" tall x 37 wide.
  2. The front window is the same on a sedan.
  3. The '26 lid is different. '26 & '27 are the same.
  4. Have you tried getting a manual online? Google your make and model. That should give you the linkage diagrams. I had to do that with my 30 year old Deere 116. Sounds like a carb kit is in order especially if it's been sitting a while. Turns everything rubber into mush. Keep us posted!
  5. 2 cycle or 4 Jason? I'm guessing 2 cycle with an edger.
  6. I stand corrected! My speeling is not alwaays corect at 4am......
  7. Hurricanes, Alligators, Cockroaches the size of mice, Palmettos, Humidity so bad that NOTHING can be built with wood, hanging shads..........
  8. I noticed EBAY sells Transtar paints. It's a heck of a lot cheaper than PPG, R&M, Dupont, Etc. I'm hearing a lot of good things about that line of paint on other forums. I used R&M 20 years ago but could not tell you good stuff now! Jason, want to chime in here? Have you used Transtar?
  9. A rare piece of history and a great story to go with it! Thanks for sharing that with us. Bill
  10. I sat down, relaxed with a cold one, and watched all your you tube videos. I would write more John but I have to go out to the garage and get that darn Coupe of mine running!!!!!
  11. This rebuild sounds like a Kodak moment! Any photos instructor? Please???
  12. Have'nt heard from Dave Wollam since March. Anyone know his whereabouts? He was a frequent contributor here who just seemed to disappear. His knowledge of DB's makes him a Guru in my book. Hope he'a okay........
  13. "No such thing as a pro job, people will tell you you cant do it because it requires special skills, special skills just means someone showed them or told them how to do it and they practiced till one day they could do it on their own and anyone can do that." So true.... The best frame straightener in our area many years ago did his work in his Mothers back yard. All the local body shops sent their frame work to him. He had a very creative 4-post system. This system consisted of a level concrete pad and 4 strategically placed large oak trees. What this guy could do with some log chain, clamps, come-a-longs, tape measure, level, torch set, and hydraulic cylinders was amazing! He was lazy at heart so he only wanted to work 2 days a week. He still made more $$$$$ than I ever did. Today nobody would take the time out to fix things. We have become a nation of quick fix parts changers. If it needs work it becomes SCRAP.
  14. Never heard of water. When I was 16 we used a spray bottle of kerosene and while the engine was running spray into the carb. It would idle sooooooooo much better after 5 minutes of spray. When we were done we sprayed the outside of the car to make it shine for Friday nights! Todays engines don't run rich like the old carbs. Every newer engine I've rebuilt are VERY CLEAN!
  15. Forums change from year to year Brian. This just happens to be one of those years where there are a good group of people at the same time. I've been here when there was a group of "Click enticing old codgers". There is a wonderful bunch out here now so enjoy it while it lasts!
  16. John - Can you explain this further please? There is NO WAY my wife would allow that! She doesn't leave dust bunnies under there let alone car parts! Not much going on with the cars. Yard work and Honey Do's. Next Month the house gets a new roof. Can't wait.....
  17. I have been talking with the seller AND a previous owner who bought the coupe in 1962! I asked the previous owner to join us here as he has a '25 Touring at the present time.
  18. I will get them on the other thread later this weekend.
  19. The seller sent 3 photos so I will post them.... I am all over this wiper thing Jason!
  20. WOW! I should get out more! VERY NICE! Sorry Bill Stewart that I have not kept up with your restoration. I should be horse wipped if I only had a horse...... The other "Bill"
  21. Looks solid from the photo. Where are you at with it now? Here is what I started with 2 years ago. It's not running yet but most of the parts have been purchased......
  22. The block is sitting on a machined table on top of a set of parallels. The arm do-dad with an indicator resembles a dial height gage to measure block height. Could be just a stock photo used. Today we have a hand held electronic device that shoots a steel ball onto the steel and converts the bounce to rockwell standard. Another way to check hardness is spark testing.
  23. Check this out! Dodge:Other Dodge:Other - eBay (item 221012921636 end time May-06-12 11:00:19 PDT) Wish I had some spare cash! As you can see its not a 1925. I contacted the owner and hope he joins in so we can get the numbers dated. I did keep all the photos and hope he sends me the wiper motor photos for my "Other" thread...... Bill
  24. Great story and lucky for you all close to home! Now play the lottery while on this lucky streak!
