  6. Everyone, Here is picture out of the Delco parts book. You can see the key to the center left of the picture. If you want a copy emailed to you send me your email address. Larry
  7. Marlin65, What year is your Canadian Corvair? I have a 62 wagon with a serial number that I think is 000288 or maybe 000233 built in Windsor.
  8. Here is a link to the wiring diagram for this question. http://forums.aaca.org/f120/question-1920-buick-6-cyl-wiring-298946.html
  9. Maybe this will help. Here is a wiring diagram.
  10. DD, You reminded me that I think I still have the lunar module and card board punch out. I will try to dig it out and post a pix if I can find it.
  11. Bernie, You are my type of guy. Out driving around till 3:00 in the morning with the wife. What great fun. Larry
  12. I remember getting glasses, soap, towels, and a lot of other things in the day.
  13. I personally like Bon-Ami. In fact GM actually had / has a part number for it. Great to clean windshields of gunk. As advertised... never scratches.
  14. My now wife/ then girl friend bought a '64 Monza with about 90k miles for $10.00 and drove it to almost 150,000 miles with the normal clutch, brakes, starter, push rod tube rings, battery, tires, etc. It was a fun car to drive. After driving for about 4 years sold it for $300.00. Great ride.
  15. Dei, Thanks for the comment. Forgot to add that all three trucks were standard cabs with no provision for extra kids. Just the driver and one passenger. No back seat drivers!
  16. I agree with checking the cables. The side post batteries have been known to leak down the inside of the cable and corrode the cable from the inside. You will never see it from the outside. I vote for cables as the first check.
  17. Is that a cable that pulls out of the chrome part? If so it might be part of a trouble/ search light unit.
  18. All three of my offspring have/ are driving Chevrolet S-10 pickups with a 4 cylinder engine so they can not go out racing crazy. The youngest even has a 5 speed manual.
  19. That is what I had to use when I was a kid cleaning the white walls on my Dads cars including the porta walls on his '55 Chevy.
  20. Saw the news and was wondering if everyone is safe after the big shake last night?
  21. If the 10.5 has the correct spline, thickness, spring, etc. then I would not have any problems with putting it in instead of the 11 inch. When I was replacing clutches in the 60's I seem to rmember diameter variations. Just make sure the area/parts inside of the clutch material/ spline/spring etc area is the same. Also what is the size of the pressure plate and flywheel? Just make sure the clutch is smaller than the available area on those two parts. Do not want part of the clutch hanging out over the edges.
  22. Does the clutch that you took out of the truck have GM stamped on it somewhere or is it maybe an aftermarket disk? If it is aftermarket I would take it to a good parts store like NAPA and compare the two and look at what it was called for.
  23. We got about 8-10 inches here in Detroit area last night. Uuuggghhhh.
