  1. Guess who's dentist is now a happy TC owner?!?!?!?! That car was a steal. Now I can get back all that money he got from us over the years!!!!!!
  2. THIS VILE CREATURE IS KNOWN TO PREY ON THE UNSUSPECTING ON THIS PARTICULAR DAY SEE MUG SHOTS BELOW. IF SPOTTED RUN FOR YOUR LIFE.
  3. Ahhh.....The real passion of Italian cars is dying in the rain with your lady beside you so you can get out and lift the hood and look like a real idiot getting soaked in your best suit...... <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
  4. This is not for the Sunday driver or faint of heart. It is a torque biasing differential for equal power to both front wheels. It is for those with modified engines putting out a lot more power the original. The link is http://www.turbododge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=109687 The Quaife is $1200+ The OBX is a Chinese ripoff $540 The adapter is $88 The labor is Transmission r&r plus extra labor for modifications.Probably $800+
  5. Real wire wheels are a pain. The spokes need truing once in a while and you have to use tubes which build up extra heat.
  6. One just sold at Barret Jackson for $10,000. It had some new leather that wasn't a good match. 61,000 miles I think. Maybe they are becoming more valuable in some circles. If I had the money and space, I would buy every one. I have to add a 3 car garage as it is. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> My latest addition is an 87 Shelby Lancer (one of 800)
  7. I'm pretty sure it's 6". The stock tires are too narrow for 7" rims. My GTS's have the same tire size and they are 6".
  8. TC by Maserati.....Remember these guys were probably still in diapers back then. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />
  9. FWDperformance for exhaust, Tu for 3" swingvalve. I did some cuts and welds on my GTS for a better fit. You almost have to pull the head to pull the turbo to pull the swingvalve. Which means you might as well go with bigger turbo, which means you might as well get a ported exhaust manifold, which means........Amazing how one little thing leads to another.
  10. It 's my birthday and I have an 87 Shelby Lancer now. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> So there!!!! One of 400 with atx. Probably one of 150 all original.
  11. It's my birthday today. Anybody want to give me a 16 valve TC??????? Yep....I never give up <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
  12. Hmm....I have 7 chysler turbos now....don't have a 16 valve tc yet......Went to Mi. last year in May to pick up special parts.....Wife still doesn't know about the Shelby Lancer.....She alomost killed me when I told about the parts in Mi.....I think I better pass....Unless....Do you need a really great grand piano????? I have three restored grands in the house now. 5' to 9'
  13. You may want to check the centering of your axles. They will break if the engine is not centered or (I think if the engine mounts are sagging. Hemi, do you want to clarify the causes?????
  14. They will last as well as any 16 year old car. I have 2 TI 87 GTS's with 180,000 miles. I think there has to be a surplus of parts with all the ones biting the dust. The only hard to find parts are the brakes and "TC parts" has a very reasonable exchange on rebuilt units. The most difficult thing is to help the parts guy find the parts in the catalogs. Please don't drive in the salt. That hurts when I hear of that being done.
  15. Thanks Larry, I took the pics you refer to and looked at the console AFTER it was reassembled it with screws.
  16. Just looked. Two screws under ashtray from top. One screw from underneath kust before armrest. Two screws from underneath just behind the upward angle.
  17. "Using +40% injectors, 3bar map sensor, and larger exhaust" Call Cindy at FWD. She knows what would be safe.
  18. You are missing the fact that the computer should be tuned to what mods you have. If it runs right with stock exhaust, the computer will need to be recaled when you open it up. The exhaust should be the FIRST mod. Second should be gauges... egt, fuel pressure, air fuel ratio. They will tell you how the engine is and help diagnose problems, and when you are about to melt pistons.
  19. Sharp eyes. Those are the holes to plug to use a Neon, Stratus head on a common block. Sixteen valve engine with a $250 twin cam head.
  20. Yep. I'm getting the impression that you are kind of hard on cars.
  21. Pic of common block with C. All common blocks look like this except for the C.
  22. See attached pics of precommon block with fuel pump block off plate, Common block and Mexican C block casting with less shift in the casting process. The C block is a common block that is just a little better for high horsepower.
  23. blow off valve??? BOV? I don't know of any but you can use the link here for the Eclipse first generation bov that is good for 18 psi. Just save all the stock hoses and route it from the throttle body to the intake for quiet operation. http://www.roadraceengineering.com/eclintake.htm I have a link for making it adjustable to higher boost also.
  24. Sounds like somebody needs to do a search on the 284 for the Chebby Cavalier? If we can find somebody there that has the tools your problems would be answered. Either that or contact Getrag and see if they will sell the unique tools they have for NOT servicing the 284 to somebody that WILL service it. Seems to me there has to be a federal law somewhere that if you have the tools and won't use them, you have to give them to someone that will. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
