  4. My 89 is in good running cond., 46,200, Purchased last year and drove to Dallas, Tx. Purchased for 5500.00, looking for 3600.00 cash, need to make room for my new larger convertable I can enjoy comfortaly. I have lowered the price after reviewing KBB for a fair condition private owner TC. Mechanical is good, but Body fair due to scratches. The Good: good power, odometer still works, all power options still work except trunk release, New Leather on seats and Armrest still smells new. Interior is good cond. New Alternator and Battery, rebuilt ECU, new plugs, wires, Hall Effect, fairly new tires, Air worked last summer when I bought it, needs recharge. New exhaust including Catalytic converter all the way back to new tips. Reliable. Hardtop, with stand, manual winch and lift bar, car cover. The Bad: Body has no major dents but has some scratches. Looks like hard top was put on by a little old lady with poor eyesight a few times. Air requires recharging I believe, worked last summer, and Trunk Release has quit working I loved these cars when new, and it fit me perfectly when I tested one in 89. However owning now when I have gained considerable weight is no longer comfortable. I have to make some room in the garage..... I would like to sell with-out going the Ebay route, to someone who will take care of this great little car. 6. Hello All. Been reading all articles in this group, and all back issues I received from prev. owner of the TC newsletters. 89 T2 8V Bordeaux/Burg/Black with 45000 miles. Here is my legacy... Purchased last month from gentleman in Chicago, who had just replaced the plugs, cap, rotor, wires all Mopar, and drove to it to Dallas with no problems. Went to smog it, and they told me there was an exhaust leak which I of course had to fix first. While shopping around it started dying. Waiting the much talked about the 15 minutes or so and would start again. Codes were 42, 43, and I replaced the Ignition coil and all seemed to be ok, was running better than before (small miss at idle disappeared.. Went to a few exhaust shops and finally found 1 that would make a new 2 1/2 from new high flow cat. Got the new exhaust. Got home all happy, more air through the system and running a little better... Decided to get the hotter SMEC from FWD Performance, so ordered. Now all seems to have gone to you know what <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />. Before the SMEC gets here, TC refuses to start. Cranks but no ignition, so disconnect MAP,disconnect battery to clear codes, still no start. I replaced the MAP and Ignition pick-up (hall effect) and still no start, code 43. Tried a new Ignition coil, still no start. Received the new SMEC, installed, still no start. Battery has run down, tried jumping, still no start. Replaced battery. Still no start. Hate to have this towed, and I still have to license this in texas, only 1 week left on temp license... Can someone please make another suggestion, or is my only option left towing to dealer... Dave
