  1. Just remember to shut it down if it ever overheats. You don't want to warp that head. I caught a post somewhere about cams breaking if that head warps. That goes for any of our cars. but that head is uber rare.
  2. thanks for the link. I'm assuming these are commercial quality aerosol cans. If so the amount and coverage will be much greater than what you get at an auto parts store. Maybe someone can send a piece of broken plastic to them for a color match. They will also be able to tell what type of surface prep the plastic needs. A local shop wants 150 to spray 2 panels for another car I have.
  3. Somebody explain why the same car is for sale again when it just sold for 12,500. It's now for sale for 11,000. Save money on ebay commission by selling to dead beat and then relist??? What's that saying about used car salesmen?
  4. Like the one in this link?? <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> I think they are for sale in the TC club newsletter. http://autos.ph.groups.yahoo.com/group/ChryslersTCbyMaserat/photos/view/f057?b=3
  5. Whoops, I meant that to be a pm. Sorry, my once proud USS America is now a fish reef off the Carolinas. Raise a glass to her now and then.
  6. "Looking for a latch lever for my rear passinger side hard top latch" I know a landlubber when I read one. To be authentic, it should say passenger side hard OVERHEAD DOG.???? Well I guess your way is clearer.
  7. Still for sale. As I said in first post, if it doesn't work, send it back for full refund plus your postage.
  8. We are way off on value. Just bought 8 valve smec for $50 shipped. PM if still interested. I have 5 TD children to support including 87 SL #268.
  9. It WAS the battery. It had a bad cell. Having 5 Mopar turbo cars is hard on batteries. I guess I will have to line them up and get a storage charger that prevents sulfating. DO NOT buy Advance batteries. They have smaller posts.
  10. This was sold to me in error. #5234-124 $100.00 plus shipping I have no way to check the operation. I WILL return purchase price less your return shipping to me if it DOES NOT work. It should take 15 minutes to check it with a 16 valve car. Remove battery, pull 2 plugs, remove two screws. and install and start engine. If you have a 16 valve car this is an essential backup since they are rare.
  11. Just remembered the Kirbys. What was the old guys name that could see them. Good show. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
  12. I wasn't going to say anything but isn't your city on the northern border of N.C where everybody talks like Yogi Bear??? ( May be another cartoon character since it' been 36 years since I was there) I would guess the contacts are tired in the switches. My mind is whacked right now from resurrecting a Daytona Z right now, but I believe it's a Chrysler switch used on Lebarons. At least the contacts are.
  13. I need help this time. First time in 19 years with these cars that the carter hasn't cranked. The solenoid clicks but the starter doesn't make any sound. I have the manual and it seems to say pull the starter and check it first? <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> I have 4 other turbododges to get under if I have the inclination to get dirty. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> Oh well, if I get tired, I can turn around and work on the 88 Daytona z next to it and figured out the code 13. So far I know that the amp and baro solenoids are good and the O2 sensor is new as of yesterday. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> Next is check the charge air temp sensor. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> and replace the cat. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />
  14. Hmmm.....get rid of car or.......Nevermind. Why would your wife not want to cruise the blue highways with you on beautiful summer weekends enroute to special bed and breakfast inns?
  15. http://www.turbododge.com/forums/ <a href="http://www.turbo-mopar.com[/url" title="They have links to vendors for the 8 valve engines Do lots of reading before spendingurlhttpwwwturbomoparcomforumscmpsindexphphttpwwwturbomoparcomforumscmpsindexphp" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> They have links to vendors for the 8 va.../cmps_index.php</a> Read donovan 3 times minimum start to finish. the A413 transmission as built is a weak spot unless altered. For $5,000 you can buy one good for 900 hp. Just scaring you. Everthing you need to do 300 hp can be found on these sites. Or you can do a dohc 2.4 Stratus head conversion and go for 400 +. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" />
  16. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS...=ADME:B:SS:MT:1 If you don't hae one, you need one. Does not cover v6.
  17. Am I to assume reverse was an option on TC's and yours came without it??? <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
  18. That's why all his cars are broken. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> I think 60,000 is recommended.
  19. Which misspelling. Mauserati, Labaron, or Mazerati. If you check, you might be able to get the pizza delivery bag thrown in. Check seller's other items. Marimba mallets to take the dents out?
  20. He is about five miles from me. Long story, but I wouldn't touch his cars. I was at a garage once when the one legged sales manager came in to pick up a Ferari or some such. The mechanic said "You know there's no brakes?" he said yeah. It's hard to drive a stick with one leg, but no brakes??? 30 years ago I went to their place for Weber carb jets and listened to the sales manager tell a customer that his Mercedes burned a quart of oil every 500 miles because it was such a high performance engine. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> He had such a good German accent, the customer was bouncing in the seat. He couldn't wait to get back to the office to tell everybody how fast his car was. I left and ordered the jets from Faza in Daytona Beach. Fiat Abarth dealer. They got it right the first time from a list of mods.
  21. The car is now located in__________? <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
  22. That was some "old guy" in Ca. driving like grandma. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Actuallly that was Hemi with that car. the 16 valves are more efficient. The 2.2 Td's with the 2.4 dohc heads are getting much better than that.
  23. The gas lever cap is ALMOST the same as Lebarons. If you look at the two levers, I think the one has a notch to hold the lever on. The TC (I think) does not have this notch. file the notch and pop the cap one. It won't get lost now. Buy some modelers spray paint for color match.
  24. for the side or center. The sides are the same as a Lebaron GTS. Just pop the plastic levers off one and install the TC levers. The centers have the same internals if it is the joystiuck acting up. Open both up carefully and exchahge one contact at a time in the TC switch. Note one contact in each is different than the other three.
  25. Patient is in recovery. I had to hang car from engine hoist and bumper support to bend the bumper support back up, make a tool to expand bumper shock back to original position, repair the plastic headlight mount with JB weld, straighten center radiator support bracket, install "new" fender. <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />
