  1. Roger...a friend was over to my house yesterday and he makes models. He is working on reproducing a 1:16 scale (I believe) model of the Reeves Octoauto. I just HAD to show him this thread with your miniature car. He was stunned and amazed! He will now be a watcher of this thread, I am certain. Keep up the good work and it is a fabulous display of your talent. John
  2. I think I see the intake tubes and the pad for the carburetor in that "lump of metal". C'mon Scott...get into the ZEN of the model. Can you see it, now?
  3. Let's see...it says "Louisiana" on the door of that car.....
  4. I totally agree. I have done the same thing LOTS of times.

  8. Make it way easier on yourself! Find a buddy with a "crewcab" style pickup that will hold six big guys. Take them to the car and you can all push it onto the trailer. Done!
  9. MAN...They are sooooo rare. I have only HEARD of them, but have never, ever SEEN one!
  10. I can ALWAYS count on you, Joe for exactly the correct answer!

    1930 CK 4 door

    Ouch...sorry to hear that.
  12. There is a guy near here in Talent, Oregon who rebuilds engines and has a line boring rig and does babbitting. He is Dave Russell (541)535-6271.
  13. Speaking of moms and impressions, my mother still tells people that when I was 4 years old I was pointing cars out and saying stuff like, "That's a Ford...that's a Chevy...that's a Dodge". The cars themselves did not impress me then. It was my mom who was impressed. Uh oh....I think I just figured out how I got the bug in the first place...and why I still have it.
  14. For $495.00 it is probably plutonium plated. Not a reality in MY mind. Try Andy Bernbaum for the solenoid... Andy Bernbaum Auto Parts for Chrysler's cars from 30s to 70s
  15. Looks sort of like an Essex, but that "widow's peak" dashboard is the key clue.
  16. I know the "kimono" car looks big, but the front sure DOES look a lot like a Fiat...
  17. I wonder what happened to the vertical door bump strips on the edges of the doors? Or...is it a different car?
