  4. I have no seller feedback for the most part- because I use ebay for buying. Every 6 months I may list a car, but nothing else. Not worth my time to sell smalls................... so doesnt mean the guy isnt any good. The whole feedback thing is over rated, because it is only skewed to buyers. Sellers cant leave feedback unless its positive, for a lousy buyer.
  5. INVENTORY ABOUT US SELL US YOUR CAR 1929 Cord L-29 Cabriolet: An Icon of American Pre-War Car Design and Innovation This handsome L-29 Cabriolet hails from the first year of production of these innovative, front-wheel drive cars. Finished in pale yellow with evergreen accents over a tan top and handsome evergreen leather interior, it joined the collection 25 years ago. The subject of an older restoration, it was repainted and retrimmed several decades ago. The interior shows quite nicely, as does the exterior trim, but the paint has begun to shrink in places. Nonetheless, the car still has plenty of presence. Perfect for a mild refresh and active tour use or restoration and presentation on a concours field-either way it will bring smiles to the new owner and anyone lucky enough to see him or her in their stunning cabriolet. The L29 Cord is one of the iconic American car designs from the prewar period. Few other cars built in that period have low slung looks, and even fewer could stake the claim of being some of the first front wheel drive American road cars. Representing the pinnacle of American Motorcar technology and timeless styling, a L29 Cord is a must for any serious collector. Chassis no. 2925603 Engine no. FDA927 The most sporting and desirable L-29 variant In the present ownership for over 25 years Innovative front-wheel-drive chassis Full CCCA™ Classic Price: $149,500
  6. The changeover time now can only be good because their will be gas for us old car fans and less competition for it. Think about it. nothing "new" about electric Billorn- as a matter of fact, it really predates combustion for usage in cities in the 19th century. while you think everyone is against advancement, the bigger question is- is electric at the advancement stage yet? that is what this whole discussion has been about from the very first thread. build a better battery- they will come- still hasnt been done. The car is secondary to the power source...........
  7. Terry, it might be far more feasible for other nations to attempt to clean up their pollution first, before advancing the automobile. most in china and india still dont have cars, as only the rich are able to afford cars. Parking in china is a major issue, due to the population.
  8. From what I've been reading, new wind generation including associated storage equipment needed to make the supply "utility grade", is costing less per kWh than new fossil fuel plants and the cost of the wind generation equipment is about 500k...........................??????????????????????? NO?
  9. Thanks Randy. just emailed him. I am staying on the topic of the 40hp chassis and getting a few offers. If that comes through, I will be done with looking for the A's or anything else for awhile.
  10. d: Well, it takes 4 days to charge a Tesla from a conventional 120V circuit. now they can mostly charge in an hour or two which is it? an hour or two or 4 days??????????????????????????????????

  15. If you really care about the environment, you need to realize it isn't just a matter of energy usage, it's also a matter of economics. We need to come up with the most cost effective way to reduce use of fossil fuels, not the one that makes us feel good. pretty evident that some on here understand how to be financially astute and others with no regard for finance................after all money must grow on trees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PS not like America hasnt been the leader and at the forefront of taking care of the environment. We had DOT and emissions in 1967 when nary another nation understood what was going on..............
  16. For 99% of the buyers not standing out was more important. Hence the reason Ford sold a few towncars.
  17. Gunsmoke, the government has already invested billions (with a B in Tesla) how many more billions should we keep investing in failure? Solyndra's losses pale compared to Tesla. I for one am not interested in paying more taxes. There is a reason we left England 200 plus years ago............. Staver has it right.
  18. wish there were more ads liked this. Thanks Auburn for presenting this ad. really looks like a lot of fun- and a tremendous amount of work! did this one time on parts for a couple of thousand. Fortunately I found an NOS autronic eye in the pile- complete. It saved the day. otherwise I would have been upside down. Will never do that again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! unless a pile like this came up and was all brass............. good to dream!
