  1. We will be traveling from Arizona to North Carolina, in October, and will be on I 40 all the way there. Does anyone know of any good wrecking yards along I 40 that we could check out? Looking for yards with MOPARs from 1929 up in them. Thanks for any help. Bob
  2. I have a 1936 Dodge RS cp that had a later engine in it and when I started looking for the right engine (D-2), I was VERY happy that someone had saved old flatheads because it gave me the chance to make my car right. I - myself - would save them if you have the room to store them and try to find people that are needing them to keep their restorations right. Then again, I am a real stickler when it comes to the right parts for a car. Good luck. Bob
  3. When we moved, it was a huge task just to move my cars and parts - then all our belongings! I do not envy you the work, but it would be fun to see all those cars and parts LOL. Good luck with the move and the future. Bob
  4. There were some aftermarket caps made for the 1936 Dodge too, I used to have a couple that came with a car I bought. They still show up on E-Bay, sometimes listed as NOS, and I am sure many people have bought them without really looking close at them.
  5. I too have a few cars to wire so really appreciate all the info guys are giving on doing the install. I guess I should be saving my nickels to buy the new harness LOL.
  6. I am trying to find info and photos of Osen Motors of San Jose, CA? Thanks. Bob
  7. My 1936 Dodge RS Coupe was dlivered to an Osen Motors in San Jose, CA and I would love to have a photo and some info on them.
  8. This just makes me wonder, how many people will bid and not even look at the shipping cost? Just a little high to ship a business card - don't you think?
  9. Does anyone know what the length is for the rear shock absorber links for 1936 Dodge and where can I find them? Thanks, Bob
  10. Keiser, NAPA (here in my small town) will do all they can to help us old car buys but my belt is so far gone that I don't think it would make a good sample to measure. Spinney, You listing is of great help and with the right size and numbers, can now look for the right belt without just guessing. Thanks to both of you for your replies and help. I am going to try to get the car out of it's storage space in the next few weeks and as soon as I do, I will post a picture or two. It is in need of a total restoration and I do have some plans for it but it will not be a fast or easy journey. I do want to get it running and see what I have to work with, then take it from there. I might have a little fun driving it around in the local area before I start with my plans. Thanks again. Bob
  11. Does anyone know of a place to get a new fan belt for a 1930 Dodge DC8? I have had the car for many years and am close to trying to start it but need a fan belt as the one on it is crumbling. Any help is appreciated.
  12. My Airstream DeLuxe 8 is, by the way, a 1935 model year and I think they changed the hubcap clips in 1936 by putting them on the wheels instead of the cap itself. Can anyone confirm that this is when the change was made? Bob
  13. It has a different back on it than the ones on my Airstream DeLuxe 8. It might be that because it is an aftermarket cap that it is a little different than the factory cap. This is the back of one of my originals.
  14. This looks to be a nice complete Dodge and yes, it does have the grill I am needing LOL. Bob
  15. It is great to see another old Dodge being brought back to life. I have a D-2 as well and have owned it for a long time with very little progress lol. There are a LOT of people on this forum that are willing to help where they can so don't be shy about asking. Good luck and please keep us posted.
  16. I am in need of the bottom cushion for the rumble seat for a 1936 Dodge. Anyone have one or know what other cushion might interchange with it?
  17. Still looking for those 1930 Dodge 8 Marathon car photos.
  18. Here is the card for my 1930 DC 8 and it has all matching numbers and is even still in Arizona.
  19. Dwight, Here are a couple pictures of the 1935 CZ shift knob. As you can see, the horn button and the shift knob have the same pattern for the inset. I would like to be able to get them both restored to new condition if possible. Pictures are from the internet, not mine.Thank you for your interest. Bob
  20. Thanks for that lead and the number, I will try and call him. I will also need the steering wheel for the Chrysler and my 1936 Dodge RS cp.
  21. I have a 1935 Chrysler CZ DeLuxe 8 and am wondering if anyone knows where I can get the gear shift knob restored to original. It is not just a plain knob, it has an intricate design in it and I want to keep it original. Thanks. Bob
  22. Great info from all, thank you. Keiser31, that sounds like about the best approach - depending on the cost. What I have are two NOS reflectors that have a slight dullness to them and a few small smudge marks (look like fingerprint marks). I might be better off to just clean them up a bit with a damp, soft cloth and dry them before installing them.
  23. What is the best way to clean headlight reflectors that will take out any light dirt and finger prints? I have a set of NOS reflectors that I would like to make perfectly clean before installing them. Thanks.
