  1. I have about 15 bricks, 8 or so window frames, and a door I took from the site about 5 years ago.
  2. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say if I’m going to spend money on a 90 series Buick, then I want wire wheels and sidemounts. Nothing about the subject car suggests it’s the top of the line model.
  3. Interesting. At least with having the bolt holes on each side one can position it in the right place before re brazing it.
  4. This is what we’re talking about on the windshield frame. The little sliver of chrome that shows between the stainless windshield trim and the chrome door trim. And the triangle shaped area at the bottom.
  5. I was going to mention that. Is the windshield frame bolted on, or do you have to cut it off & reweld it back on for chroming the little portion that shows by the vent window?
  6. Have fun with the miles of hydro electric fluid lines running to each window, the top, and under the front seat.
  7. And then it takes twice as long to put back together because you don’t know how it was originally.
  8. Was it Ray Dietrich who recalled if he saw a Franklin parked in a hotel parking lot, he could always spot the owner right away in the lobby by what he was wearing?
  9. These were labeled 1930 Auburn but I’ve been told that’s wrong. They have “TWILITE HEADLAMP” engraved in the top with a big space between the 2 words. What do they fit? I know the cheapest model Franklin around 1931 had lights like this.
  10. It’s got the 327, the middle sized engine. The 3 engines available were 288, 327, & 356. I don’t think the convertible was available with the 288. Nice car for the money.
  11. Yes! About 5 years ago there were three 1941 Cadillac convertibles at Hershey in the Saturday car show. All three were supposedly painted valcour maroon, a 1941 only color. All three were a different shade of maroon and none were correct.
  12. The original post was from 8 years ago. You’re not going to get a response.
  13. For 30k that’s basically a free car. Think of the cost to paint/upholster/chrome it.
  14. My Hershey packet & sticker came in the mail today. Life is good.
  15. I can ask about it. But I won’t. You need to get the Dodge coupe you’ve owned since you were 14 years old drivable before I’ll ask about it for you. 😀. That’s called tough love.
  16. Yep. My father knew Carl’s father going back to the early 1960’s.
  17. I guess the gas powered car dealers in Las Vegas & Reno will do great business after 2035 then. And the used car market for them will skyrocket as well.
  18. Here’s one by me that might be available. Needs a lot of body work.
  19. I believe this car is currently owned by a collector in NE Ohio.
  20. Which convertible? Convertible coupe, convertible victoria, or convertible sedan?
  21. There was an in depth article about the Byrd auction with photos of each car sold and prices real;ized in the CCCA publication a couple years ago.
  22. Should the windshield frame be chrome on this, or were they painted on the bottom rung Standard Eight?
