  1. A Vacuumeter. Looks early to mid 1920s. Anyone have one on a car? What does it do? An early form of calculating gas mileage? It can be yours.
  2. Different dash. Red car has correct 1931/32 Stutz dash. Blue car has something out of another non Stutz car.
  3. Here's some photos I found online. Same body, different car. Website says it was on loan from the LeMay collection, so it's probably back in Washington state now.
  4. I don't believe that's the same car. The blue one was on display in the Canton Classic Car Museum about 10-15 years ago for a couple years and was still wearing the same blue paint & interior it had since the 1960s when it was built. I think the red one is the same body, but a different car. They must have made 2 bodies.
  5. That’s a rare car. 1942 Cadillac convertible. One of 300 built.
  6. I guess the car was a few years old when the photos were taken after all. Looks like he skimmed the side of his garage damaging the fender trim. The bottom stainless piece on the front fender is held on with 5 dark colored screws, and the top & bottom trim is missing off the rear fender rubber stone guard. If only his driving skills were as good as his photography.
  7. My print of the side view of the car came today.
  8. Did you talk Big Al into putting the correct hubcap on the continental spare wheel yet?
  9. If the street had looked the same today, I would have tempted to drive the 110 miles or so one way and taken the same shot with my car in the Spring.
  10. Just a print copy. If you click the one link Mike6024 posted you can still buy them. I just ordered the side view of the same car. My guess is some of the photos on the website are from his personal collection. He took a couple shots of each car he owned. Most with his girlfriend.
  11. The only thing that remains is the 3 story building.
  12. I like this image of his. Funeral home owned 5 Lincolns. The '35 sedan in the center could be Harwood's car.
  13. I was told by someone long ago there were 2 bustle back phaetons originally built. I believe one was near Pittsburgh for a long time. Josh Malks book would say.
  14. Thank you Mike6024. How did you figure it out?
  15. I just looked at the original photo again and yes, the two storefronts in front of the Studebaker with rolled up awnings are at staggered angles.
  16. Here's the 1946/47 inspection sticker. I think it's a better match than the 1940 sticker. The car looks awfully nice for a 5 year old car, but maybe the old lady only drove it on Sundays and really took care of it. The whitewall is very clean.
  17. Interesting. Well, the car is definitely in PA per the inspection sticker with the Keystone on it. And it looks close to new, not a few years old. And it's interesting there is no front license plate bracket on the car if PA had front plates in 1940 & 41 like you say. The bracket would mount on the bottom center of the front bumper.
  18. That would be too easy. It's too blurry. I even tried with a magnifying glass.
  19. I bought this photo at Hershey this year and would like to know the location. The car, obviously, is a 1941 Cadillac Sixty Special. The PA inspection sticker on the window is a 1940 sticker. The 1941 sticker was a completely different design. There is some ice on the ground, so the photo was most likely taken in the winter of 1940/41, making the car virtually new. So, who out there can identify the town? The one store front says "Sam's Variety" and on the far left is a funeral chapel. The Studebaker in the background also appears to have a state inspection sticker on the windshield too, so let's assume the photo was taken in PA. Probably at least a medium sized town as there are street car tracks going down the middle of the street. If anyone can positively identify the exact location I'll buy you lunch at Hershey next year.
  20. I'll probably get kicked off the Forum for posting this, but here it is.
  21. The black limousine pulling into the gas station on the right near the beginning in a 1957 or 58 Cadillac model 75. I bet the Ford woody wagon at 1:30 is still in existence. What's the white coupe parked at the right side curb at :38? Looks foreign.
