LOC stands for Lincoln Owners Club. It’s the club for 1920-1939 “big Lincolns”

I don’t believe ‘36-‘39 Lincoln Ks had beauty rings originally. Look at all the factory photos in the book “80 Years of Lincoln Mercury.” I don’t think there’s one car in there with them.

Ray in CT May have one. They have been reproduced in plastic. They all cracked. Are you in the LOC?

Does it have dual carbs with the correct air cleaner? -

I can almost guarantee that Cadillac has a lot of floor rust and frame rust. There are outriggers on the outside of the frame that support the body that rust out. If the car has dual quad carburetors with the air cleaner that set up is worth more than the rest of the car. I’m thinking $1500. Someone already took the rear bumper. Oh, and it is an Eldorado, not a 62 series. -

We need pictures in order to give any opinion. Value of Caddy depends on how rusty it is. Look at the floors & crawl underneath and look at the frame and brackets that support the body. These are notorious for rusting out. Also take an engine picture and a picture of the data tag on the firewall. The Cadillac LaSalle Club forum on their website is also a good place for info once you get pictures. -

I don’t think the engine compartment was original in that cover photo. That looks like all new chrome/stainless to me.

It was on the cover of the Spring 1960 CCCA magazine. This is the only time in 70 years an engine compartment has been on the cover of The Classic Car. The club was a lot different back then. A lot, no most, really desirable cars were owned by average people. Teachers, tradesmen, truck drivers and the like. It wasn’t like today where 75% of the really desirable cars are in mega collections. And not everyone, then and today, is on an ego trip and wants their name all over the place.

Thank you. I’ll clean it up & have it on my table at Hershey this October for a very reasonable price.

I believe it’s actually a 1929 Cadillac.

Thank you all for your replies. I like that the whole thing is brass. On many of them the whole bottom section is cast iron.
