  1. Yeah, the whole car is wrong. Exhaust pipes are on the wrong side, skirted fenders, front bumper not exactly right, and to add insult to injury they put pilot rays on it.
  2. It sucks they don’t show any pictures of the lower half of the body where they rust. It is a steal at that price though. Someone will save it. From what we can see it’s way too good to be a parts car
  3. Try this e mail address: rvroddin@aol.com I communicated with them 2 years ago and this is the e mail they used. Please let us know how you make out as I’d still like to have them make me a gas tank.
  4. Or open front towncar for that matter. I have a towncar listed as a 4 door too.
  5. Go with what alsancle said. Get it titled in your name first even if the year is off by one. Most state DMVs don’t even have a code for a 4 door convertible car. That’s why it shows as a 4 door sedan. It’s the closest thing.
  6. Thank you. That makes sense. My parents and grandparents had VWs going back to the late 50s.
  7. Looks like it’s from the 1960s. Airplane? European sports car? Or a gag?
  8. Thank you. Now I understand how it mounts.
  9. I don’t have the key for mine. I’d like to see a picture of one mounted on a car. I don’t think I quite understand how it mounts and holds the rims
  10. You’re correct. You must have one to give that detailed of a response. The lock on it is by Hurd, the same company that supplied locks/keys to Lincoln in the 20s & 30s.
  11. OK, thanks. Any specific cars known to have used this? I'm guessing it's late teens to mid 20s.
  12. “I once looked at a 1947 Packard for sale, and consulted with an expert, a well reputed Packard mechanic. He said theElectromatic clutch is a bit troublesome, and a car without it would be preferred.” You can easily disconnect it and not use it and just drive it like a normal car.
  13. The Buick is missing the plastic rear bumper filler. You can see the ground looking down between the body & bumper of the car.
  14. Here’s one a friend has on a Model A. The eyes light up at night.
  15. AJ, that’s not a thumb over the license plate. He’s giving you the middle finger.
  16. I think the sidemount spare tire adds a touch of class.
  17. Weren’t they all just modified factory limousines? All Rollson did cut the tops of the front doors off and put the towncar windshield on. Being 1938s, they would have been modified by Rollson, not Rollston. They took the “T” out of the name after the bankruptcy filing.
