Brass radiator Fords were last built in 1916. The '16's were different than the '15's as the '16's did not have brass rims on the side lights. The changeover to black radiators was gradual until the brass radiators were used up. John

Once, my father told me that when Henry decided to stop the Model T, many people went out to buy a second Ford because they never learned to drive a car with a sliding gear tranny. John

Jack up one rear wheel. With the ignition off, pull crank 1/4 up while choking the carburetor. Do that for all four cylinders, then turn the key on and the next 1/4 turn of the crank will start the car. Race around to the driver side and advance the spark and throttle. After the raised wheel stops spinning, remove the jack and drive away. John

I have 2 Model T's and one Model A. The A is more comfortable and faster, but the Model T's are more fun. John

I'd like to hear about your "first cars"
41 Su8 replied to Leif in Calif's topic in General Discussion
First car was a 53 Studebaker Commander with a V8 engine. The previous owner had set it up for the track with a Foxcraft speed shifter and souped up engine. I got the car and had to do a complete brake job from the master cylinder to the steel tubings to the drums. The guy who set it up for the track got into an accident and his grandmother's teeth left an imprint in the metal dash. The accident caused the frame to twist, so I used $6 recaps on the front for tires. John -

I would say '40 or '41 120 front bumper guard. There were 3 flat chrome bars that went into the holes and bridged the two upright guards together. Rear guards would have had a fold down bracket to allow the trunk lid to open. John
