  4. Here's one of my favorite Buick wheel covers. flippers and bullets in one. from 59-60. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Three-obscure-1959-60-Buick-Electra-optional-halo-15-inch-wheelcovers-/121191473233 BTW 3 Tone, this post may fit better in the Me and My Buick forum. This forum is more for technical stuff where as the Me and My Buick is for telling about you and your Buick. Let me know if you would like for it to be moved.
  5. I think that would require changing backing plates too, right? Not a big deal, jus sayin. Very much worth the effort. Tha's what I have planned for both my small series cars...some day...
  6. Shoooot, Mikey at Middleton Antique Auto Restoration could make that like new in a New York Minute.... (A New York minute is an instant. Or as Johnny Carson once said, it's the interval between a Manhattan traffic light turning green and the guy behind you honking his horn)
  7. SOLD and on it's way to Auburn WA
  8. Just curious, what would a complete rebuild cost be for a 322? Oh and as can be seen in the PB pics, Mr Mike Middleton of Middletown Auto Restorations also "sat in" on the evaluation of the engine.
  9. Well all this ain't gonna be easy to fit on the Certificate. Do they make a size 2 font? But heck yea, I fifth it....
  10. Seglare, as always, the members here are trying to be helpful. To that end, may I suggest you introduce yourself here > http://forums.aaca.org/showthread.php?t=290500&page=30&p=1228214#post1228214 It may help also if you explain your interest in the information you are seeking.
  11. Seglare, the Me and My Buick forum is for posting about you and your particular Buick. I see you have posted the same question in several different forums. This will only create confusion for yourself as well as the members trying to help you. The Buick "General" forum would be THE forum for your question therefore I am merging this thread to the one you already started there.
  12. As many of you know, I have been collecting parts for to build a period correct 54 hot rod for YEARS! Since recently acquiring the 3 speed Century, I have decided to let that dream go. I have recently sold the Texas Pete Special and the other 3 speed Century (54Muscle) that was to be used for the project to my mailman. He is not interested in the high performance parts so I am offering them here. Basically what you get for a no haggle $3000 is: 1956 322 engine, totally rebuilt. The '56 322's were rated a whoppin 255 HP from the factory. This engine was totally rebuilt as a class project at McPherson College and checked out by Professor Nailhead (50 years experience in 322's and engines of all kinds) in St Louis on my way back home from picking it up. http://www.mcpherson.edu/autorestoration/ Edmunds dual quad intake - Talk about old school... This is the first dual quad intake built for the 322 in 1953. http://www.ahrf.com/legends/eddie-edmunds/?legends=eddie-edmunds 2 Stromberg 4A Aeroquad carburetors - Again ooooolllld school. 4A Aeroquads were probably the first 4 bbl carbs and were only available on Buicks from 1952 thru 1954. http://www.carbkitsource.com/carbs/tech/Stromberg/4A.html 1956 Dual exhaust manifolds - a pair of the cleanest and prettiest ones I have seen. I bought and sold 2 sets building up to these. 1956 distributor with a Dyna-flite ball bearing dual point plate All the above for $3000 For another $500 I'll throw in a 6 bolt 3 speed complete with bellhousing, clutch plate and flywheel. AND for another $250 I have a 1956 Buick factory experimental Posi-Traction rear end. You would need a 56 axle to put this in and that comes with it. (You pull) OR a 4.1 rear end chuck that will fit into your existing axle. So there you go gang, if you have ever thought about building a period correct 54B hotrod, here's your drivetrain. Here's a link to some pictures on Photobucket, I will be taking and uploading more. http://s3.photobucket.com/user/54roadmasters/slideshow/56%20332%20w%20Edmunds%20and%20Strombergs Because I would so love to see this dream engine become real, I want to sell it all as one package. All sold "as is". No shipping, you pick up at Buick Gardens. eMail me if interested - 1954buick at gmail dot com
  13. Great update and pictures. Love seeing the kids around and enjoying the old cars. Thanks for posting!!!
  14. Was gonna use this on my Texas Pete Special at one time but since she is gone, have no more use for it. It is the earliest 322 Edmunds intake made. Comes with a pair of 1952-1954 Buick Stromberg Aeroquads, probably the first 4 bbl carb built. Asking a pretty firm $850 This is the first horse out of the stall. Will probably be offering up the rebuilt '56 322 later. This would sit real pretty on that, wouldn't it. Got a '56 dual point distributor, a set of beautiful dual exhaust manifolds and an experimental '56 Posi-traction rear end that will be let out later. Or email me, maybe we can make a deal on the complete set up. http://www.ahrf.com/legends/eddie-edmunds/ http://carbkitsource.com/carbs/tech/Stromberg/4A.html
  15. Tired of that leaky and slow Dynaflow. Is your dynaflow tired and ready for a $3000 rebuild. Here is pretty much everything you would need to convert that Dynaslow to a spiffy, fun to drive 3 speed. Everything but the steering column would work on a 54 also. Asking $750 but make me an offer. I also have the smaller radiator and the round shroud that would make the installation "correct" for another $150.
  16. Sure am missing the ol' cod lately. I, as I am sure everyone here would love to hear from him.
