  2. The owner sold the house and has to sell the car. It needs: radiator rebuild, gas tank boil out, upholstry. no dents in the body. call Charlie (562) 292-1789 The car is close to Long Beach, Ca. Call direct.
  3. 2 front doors and 2 rear doors. They have electric windows and tinted glass $5.00 each or will part out.fredrawling@verizon.net
  4. The green polishing compound that they use on Aluminum works good on plastic. Use a soft buffing wheel. Do not press too hard or you will melt the plastic. It would definatly be a good idea to practice on a piece that is not restorable to see how the plastic reacts to too much pressure against the wheel.
  5. I have wheel bolts. Do you need them for a Standard of Master? fredrawling@verizon.net
  6. Thanks for the reply. I may be giving it a try. I have one more place to chekc to see if they will do it.
  7. I need to have a new ring gear installed on my carrier. Does anyone know of a shop that does that work. The local ones can not handle the fact that the set up is riveted together.
  8. I need to have a new ring gear installed on the carrier in the differential. It is riveted on. Does anyone know a shop that will do that work?
  9. I need a new ring gear installed on my carrier. Does anyone know someone that will do that work. The local shops freeze up when they hear that it is riveted on.
  10. Does anyone know of a shop that will install the ring gear. The problem with the local shops is that when I tell them that it is riveted on, they turn off their hearing aids. Aparently the new sets are bolted on. It seems to me that the biggest trick is finding a fastener the correct diameter.
  11. I need a set of rear end gears or a rear end for a 1928 Master. The carrier is unique to 1928. Does anyone have any leads? Another posibility is finding someone to replace the ring gear on the 1928 carrier. I have another good ring and pinion that I can use IF I can get it onto the 28 carrier.
  12. This stuff is still sitting in my back yard. Anyone want to make an offer?
  13. Is the price too high? I am open to offers.
  14. I was given this person by a friend that had a gas tank made. My friend said that he was very satisfied with the product. Taylor Made Products, 3093 Amity Rd. Pearcy, Ar. 71964. 501 525-1868. The owners name is Ed Hollier.
  15. Danny, can you e-mail me a pictue of what it looks like? fredrawling@verizon.net
  16. The front bumper that I have is not the same as the one in the picture. I assumed that it was 65 Electra because it was in the pile of 65 parts. I do not have the steering wheel. I do not remember having the air conditioning control. I will try to find the dashboard and check the dash pad. I am not sure where it is at this time.
  17. I got it out. There are four 8-32 flat head screws that hold the window frame to the channel. Two are on the hinge side and are accessable through a rectangular hole in the door. The two at the latch end are hard to find and you have to move the window around to line them up with a small hole to get a screw driver in. The rear of the window comes out first. Then you slide the window to the latch end of the door and the front roller comes out through the same gap as the rear roller. Thanks to everyone that responded.
  18. If your generator (dynamo) is not charging the battery, the problem may be the voltage regulator. There are tests that can be run on the voltage regulator described in the owners manuel. If you do not have the manual, send me your e-mail address and I will scan the pages and send them to you. Another problem may be that the battery is getting old. As for finding a new generator, I have found that it is better to have the one that I already have rebuilt, rather than search for another used one that may have problems. fredrawling@verizon.net
  19. The doors are straight. The parts left on them are the chrome strip at the bottom, outside door handles, lock cylinders without keys, wind wings and the window. The wind wing is hand cranked. The crank is there. I also have the chrome strip below the window and the hinges. I am sorry that the switches are not there. I do not have any air conditioning parts except possibly those that were in the dash. If you need those, let me know and I will dig out the box and check it.
  20. The front bumper that I have is from a 65 Electra. I do not know if they interchange. It is straight except for 1 dent just above the licence plate and to the left of center. This bumper is 4 inches high in the center portion and has a piece welded to each end that sticks up above the hight of the center portion and is curved back towards the car.
  21. Thanks for the replys. This is a door from a parts car. My objective is to get the window operating mechenisum out and send it to someone in need of the part without tearing up any other good parts. I already have 4 hours in trying to figure it out. I found the 2 screws at the hinge side of the door that you access through the rectangular hole and remover therm. The window still does not slide off the track. I do not want to buy the book just to sell this part that I already have a half days labor in trying to remove. More ideas please.
  22. Can anyone tell me how to get the window out of the rear door on a 1955 4 door hard top Special?
  23. I have a bundle of push rod covers for late 40's or early 50's straight 8 motors. The vent tubes are missing. Free for the shipping. Send a picture of what you need and the length. I am not sure exactly what they fit. fredrawling@verizon.net
  24. Cowl from a 1930 64 C, some rot at the bottom of the door post and at the top of door post, the sheet metal is good -not rusty $30.00. Front axel, backing plates, brake parts, spindels - what do you need? Rear axel housing, torque tube, radius rods, backing plates, brake parts - no rear axels or gears- what do you need? fredrawling@verizon.net
