4. Roger,
I have some of the "washers" or lugs to hold the rim to the wheel. They have a hole in the center and a projection on the back that fits into the space between the rim and wheel kind of like a wedge. Jaxon is the name on them. How many can you use @ $1.25 plus shipping. I am sorry to say that I can not help you with the shock absorbers or wheel bolts.
 5. 1950 Roadmaster- every day car
1981 Chrysler Imperial-My wifes temporary car until I fix the 50,000 1984 Cutlass Supreme Cream puff that the kid smashed.
1928 Master Buick converted to a Pick Up. My work truck.
 6. I tried to register my 1950 in California and had to fight with DMV to get them to use the vin number on the door. They finally used the engine number after calling Sacramento and I got the car registered. Two months later someone hit the car and the insurance company salvaged it. I whet to re register it and DMV would not accept the numbers that they previously used and I had to have the Highway Patrol verify the vin number. The officer was an old car guy and tried to find the number on the frame but could not. He did clean off the top of the frame below the master cylinder using solvant and reveiled a blue color tag but there was no number visable. I finally had to settle for a tag rivited to the door post.
7. In Huntington Beach Calif there is a placer called 5 points classic shocks that rebuilds them. Also, Bob's Automobilia has rebuilt shocks but I do not know if he has your year. I think his web sight is Bobsautomobilia.com. e-mail me is you can not get a listing & I will look up these adresses for you. I do not have them with me at this time.

 8. The 26 & 27 hubcaps will work on 1928 and visa versa but the 26-27 ones match smoothly to the hub where as the 28 hub caps have a ridge where they meet the hub. Also, the hubcap diameter is different for Standard and Master series.
[This message has been edited by Fred Rawling (edited 01-04-2001).]

 11. 56 Special grill with steel bar that attaches to the bottom of the die cast grill.
Some small pits which do not look to bad. One of the bold holes for the head light mounting has a corner broken off but it looks like it would not show and would hold the bolt. $40.00 or best offer.
 12. I have a balancer that I think came from either a 56 special or 64 riviera because those are the cars that were dis assembled in my yard. Can you give me some measurements and a are there any part numbers on it. I will check out what I have to see if it is what you are looking
 13. Rear seat bench from 56 special. I think it was a 4 door. Also the curved upright pieces from the back rest of the front seat. They wrap around from the side of the seat to the back. After that I have to dump them.
I also have the seat back. Also free 1955 Roadmaster passenger front door from a 4 door hard top. No hardware on the door just the bare door with no dents or rust.

[This message has been edited by Fred Rawling (edited 01-04-2001).]
[This message has been edited by Fred Rawling (edited 01-04-2001).]
 14. Dave, You are correct about the errors in 70 Years of Buick. Even with the errors, it is a nice book and it does have a lot of good information.
 15. Correction to the post from Dave Moon:
Buick did make a 4 cyl. truck in both 23 and 24. Reference for this info is from the 1930 master parts book and the 1923 and 1924 illustrated parts books.
 16. Buick made 4 cyl. delivery cars or trucks in 1923 and 1924. The body styles were screen side canopy, pannel truck, pick up and canopy with open sides. They are neat looking trucks. I almost owned one. I am still looking for one.
 17. Alex, try Bobs Automobilia for the distributor and cam shaft gear. He advertises in the Buick Bugle. If he does not have them, try Egge Machine: 800 866-3443. I have not experienced a generator drive gear that runs off the cam gear going bad but they do wear and origionally you could buy oversize cam gears to compensate for the wear on the crank and generator
gears. If you have a problem with the worm gear that drives the distributor gear, another generator would probably be the only answer.
If you have occasion to remove the generator from the car, remove the cover on top of the cam gear and watch as you pull the generator away from the cam gear. Make sure that you rotate the generator gear out of the teeth of the cam gear. If you pull the generator out without rotating the gear, you will chip the cam gear teeth. I learned the hard way. I also never had a problem with the crank shaft gear.

 18. If the one listed above does not work, I have one off a 73 Caprice. I know that some of the interior door pannels and such and the chrome trim below the windshield are interchangeable with Buick, maybe the fender skirt is also? I think that mine is the passenger side. Let me know or e-mail measurements.
