  1. **** SOLD **** Nice cars, priced correctly, find appreciative new owners. I thought the price was about $3,000 too high, and I do not know the final sales price, but $14,500 given it's remarkable preservation is still not bad.

  5. Marketplace - 1966 Buick Riviera · Coupe 2D | Facebook Forgive me if this has been posted before. 1966 Buick Riviera GS V8 nailhead 445 wildcat with a 3 speed automatic transmission. The body is in alright not the best but alright front passenger side fender has a dent in the front everything is original on it
  6. Frankly I prefer the 2 door hardtop 300L over the convertible. This was a love it or hate it style anyway, and that convertible top looks horrible to me. Sure, everyone wants a convertible if they have a choice but there is a reason many sport luxury cars in the 60's were not offered as convertibles - Riviera, Eldorado, Toronado, etc.
  7. You guys probably think I am a Mopar guy, but I just have not seen many from the other makes that I like recently. I love the fuselage era, from Mopar and frankly - most American manufacturers went this route for a couple of years at least. Color-color color! Dark blue LeBaron with a teal-ish blue leather interior. While it is true that Imperial was heading toward homologation with Chryslers senior cars and was on its way out, there is a lot about this Imperial to separate it from the New Yorker. I prefer the 65-66 Lebarons, but I have not found one.
  8. Marketplace - 1970 Chrysler Imperial · Sedan 4D | Facebook 1970 Imperial, excellent condition 79,129 miles Starts, but need to be jumped. Battery needs replacing, otherwise everything is in perfect condition Selling for my grandpa.
  9. Marketplace - 1977 Chrysler New Yorker | Facebook Chrysler New Yorker Brougham 1977 Mint condition original miles, no rust or accidents. Serious Inquiries only. Selling for a friend.
  10. Didn't they even name a car a Cougar in the late 1990's. I have not seen one of those in years. But back to this car - the bright red with white interior, or vice versa, is a car from that era I like. Did they still offer a 351 2v in 1979? If so, I want that engine, not the 302.
  11. Nice entry level car for someone. I would replace the faux wire wheel set with period magnesium or aluminum Ford factory wheels.
  12. This Cougar XR7 has been in the same family since it was purchased in 1979 and runs like new. It is in Good condition and has been entered in many car shows over the years. This listing is a cash-only listing. Marketplace - 1979 Mercury Cougar · XR-7 Coupe 2D | Facebook I can not seem to copy and paste to my laptop, so direct copy and paste here -->
  13. That’s cool. Not sure about the Sandalwood top contrast. When I saw this, my 1st thought was how ubiquitous these were on the streets for many years. Grand Prix 1971-1977 ish, Cutlass Supremes, Monte Carlos. GM sold millions in the 70’s. Now they are virtually gone.
  14. Well, I’m no pricing expert but $25k or 27k both seem reasonable. Be interesting to see what the market says. I know this is the Buick section but there is a 1940 Series 75 Cadillac 7p sedan with side mounts for sale in the Cadillac Club with a rebuilt Flathead V8 that can’t seem to get sold. Now at $21,000 obo. Not completely apples to apples but a high end closed long wheel base car that can’t find a new owner.
  15. The pattern of the seats and doors is one I have seen in leather on Marks. But that doesn’t look like a 1970 clothe. Why would someone go to such pains to sew in correct patterns but choose a modern clothe? Or I could be wrong, if it’s truly low miles.
  16. I know John. I just copy and paste and that must not be the way to do it.
  17. Oh my what a car. I’m super cheap but $25,000 seems right for price.
  18. Still for sale Pete! Have a close to it BCA member go check it out.
  19. Jim, good catch, a little too smooth to be original, but I am no expert. The under top rust does not scare me, but - it's a price reduction. I have had several of these 70's GM cars with rust under the "vinyl" top, and none ever got worse. They were a mild distraction at best. Sure we want perfect, but these were drivers with nothing paid over $3500 for one. They can be effectively sealed by waxing and prepping the area. I'll bet if I did buy this and waterproof it, it would be in this same condition 10-15 years from now, not worse, not better.
  20. To be sure, I would love to own perhaps an SO 1947-1948 Frazer Manhattan. I have zero interest in a Kaiser from this era. Rudy Phillips once offered me a 1948 Frazer Manhattan with a factory leather interior for $1,000. Or, for historical artifact-ness, get a very early Frazer Manhattan built by Graham-Paige. Frazers had plusher interiors and details vs the Kaisers, but really aren't much different. For $25,000 a person can get a well sorted Dragon, could buy your Polar Grey Virginian, or a nice 52 Manhattan, or a Traveler. Lots of better choices.
