Great score

That is sad news indeed, he was a part of the community that will be missed. Dave, I was thinking the same thing with your "quirky" comment, he would go off on a tangent and it was interesting to see where it was going or would end up.

So you know the exact story of where these "extra" struts came form? You know these are part of that run that Marck ordered? There are always options and that is what free enterprise is all about. The more sites offering a part the better and will keep Marck from his typical price gouging.

Nothing better for the Reatta community than honest competition, bought 4

Certainly would have been a high class car in it's day. Made just shy of 1500 of them

Surprised to see the yellow wheels on this stunning example

Hood not closing evenly on passenger side by windshield
Y-JobFan replied to ReattaPDX's topic in Buick Reatta
There is a good chance you bent the hood unfortunately, a bent Reatta hood from forcing the hood down on a Reatta is not uncommon to hear -
Wire Wheel Caps 14" 1965 Skylark NOS condition
Y-JobFan replied to Loren@65GS.com's topic in Buick - Buy/Sell
Can't believe these have not gone, very well priced for a full set of NOS wire spinners. I am almost positive the are correct for 66 as well -
That was well bought

We need to remember this one was green (and the green interior is really a killer on a convertible), wasn't painted the correct color green and had aftermarket wheels. Some chrome was iffy, as mentioned top mechanism has an issue and lots of little things here and there. And unfortunately with the issues yours had and the money you have put into since, you did overpay. I think that was decided pretty early on but they go up and down and yours is in the right color for resale and other than the hood issues you have got her standing tall now

Nice clean looking example

I like the color but green doesn't usually bring out the green. The green is off as well which could hurt value

Looks very well kept, the price is fair

didn't even look at the year lol, you are right, certainly would not have had those seats from the factory, no value added unless he sold the seats and picked up a set of leather seats, the suede ones should sell for decent money to someone with an 88

I would want to see some documentation as to what he constitutes a new engine. Is it a new engine or does he consider a rebuilt engine a new engine? If rebuilt, who did it and to what standards? If that can be verified then while not cheap, it may well be a decent buy for the car, it's not one that you are going to buy and easily flip so plan on keeping it. If you don't want the sign, that should be pretty easy to sell. I would still try to get it in the $6500 range if everything is as it is supposed to be to give yourself a bit of leeway. Those suede seats have value on their own and you will need to take good care of them

Skylark top material has long been overlooked in judging as there is nothing available in the orlon vinly synthetic top on the market

I always chuckle when the sunlight hits the Reatta dashboard just right and you can see the Air Level (or whatever it says exactly( wording

Why would going air struts mean a larger market?

Anyone know the right GM # for the Crank Position? Also, I need to get a puller, don't need the best one on earth but one that will work, any recommendations? Thanks

I don't have time this weekend to really get into it, but went out today and it started up several times fine started and ran perfectly. Then boom, wouldn't start. I cleaned battery terminals, and checked and cleaned as needed various connections and just turns over now, no start. Tried what I did last night after it sat for 9 hours and I finally got it started to get it home and no luck. In the last year it has had new MAF & sensor, / complete new Delphi ignition setup, 02 sensor, etc. I am now seeing 34 & 41 (had MAF disconnected off and on) and b552 - I am wondering if it could be a bad BCM

OK guys, I walked back over late this eve and it wouldn't start, I jiggled some wires around and then disconnected the MAF sensor and it started instantly and ran find home. I hooked the MAF back up when I got home and it started 4 times in a row. I will check connections and clean them and see how it goes - thanks as always for the help
